New York Knicks Legend Gets Viral in Hype Moment During Team’s Huge Game 2 Win

John Starks is a beloved New York basketball icon who played for the Knicks for much of the nineties. While he didn’t win anything during his years at the Garden with Patrick Ewing, he provided fans with plenty of unforgettable highlights with the Knicks jersey on his chest.

Now retired, Starks decided to show his team some love for the Knicks during Game 2. The game was tense in the third quarter, with not one team having a clear advantage over the other.

Josh Hart, who had a phenomenal Game 1 for the Knicks, made a beautiful play in transition and cut through two Philadelphia defenders to force his way into the rim. The Sixers didn’t have any choice but to commit a foul to stop him from scoring.

The play was such a highlight play that the entire Garden got loud on the play. Starks was especially impressed with the play that he had to stand up and let him know how much he appreciated his grit:

Hart had another monster game for the Knicks in Game 2 as he finished with 21 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. While Jalen Brunson had an off shooting night, he still finished the game with 24 points, eight boards, and six dimes.

The Knicks will face tough opposition when they head to the Wells Fargo Center to play the Sixers, but they will have the support of one John Starks and the rest of Knick Nation.
