The Suns Have A Massive Price Tag
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Phoenix Suns are currently looking for a new owner.

Just weeks ago, Robert Sarver started the process of selling the franchise after an official report highlighted the racist and sexist comments and actions he made towards staff members over the years.

Sarver moving on is the right thing to do, both for the team and the league.

Selling the team will not only be a complicated process, but it’ll also be a very expensive one too.

It is being reported by ESPN that the Suns are expected to sell for more than $3 billion.

If that total pans out, it will be the most expensive sale in NBA history.

Buying the Suns – even for that mammoth amount – is money well spent.

Buying The $uns

There aren’t many teams in the league that are better than the Suns.

It is true that they haven’t won a championship yet but they have been surging over the last few years.

They might not be considered a typical “big market” team but they sure are getting the attention and admiration of one.

With Chris Paul and Devin Booker leading the way, they are one of the most exciting teams in the entire league.

In the next few seasons, they could end up winning the Finals or landing other big-name stars too.

$3 billion looks like small potatoes when you consider all of the money that comes to the team and the excitement that surrounds it.

Now we just need to see who will put the money down to acquire the Suns.

So far, a few names have been tossed around as possible buyers, such as Jeff Bezos and Larry Ellison.
