First of all i wanna say whats up to the YARDBARKER FAMILY.... so finally im back in tact, got my finger back and now i can type again thank God for that... u never realize how important or how much of an impact every part of your body has on you when u goin on about your day untill u lose function of one of them... Thank God for the ability to have functioning body parts...

So yes tomoro is my 1st scrimmage that ive participated in since ive been a raven... the first 2 years i had hamstring problems so it kept me from bein able to go thru the full trainin camp, and anybody who has ever had a hamstring problem knows how bad that sucks... and for me i couldnt believe i had any problem with my hamstrings cuz i never had them in college so im like what in the world is goin on... and if anybody has ever seen me in person u know that my legs are like little chicken legs, so i didnt even know i had hamstrings... imma tell u this about the scrimmage tomoro im nervous!! yes nervous! i actually get nervous b4 every game or whenever i go against an opponent... i think its bcause i want to do so good and pretty much b perfect but we all know nobody is perfect, but i believe as long as thats what were striving for then its gone b hard to fall far from it.. Do u think somebody can mess-up perfectly??? Well i just wanted to share that lil bit of information wit yall... preciate the ear take care and till next time

Good luck tommorrow!! You will do just fine. As long as your trying and giving 110% even thing will work out. Have you talked to Troy Smith? Tell him Columbus says "HI" and to have a great year. You need to encourage him to start "Barking"

Good to hear your hands are in tact. I'll be watching them closely in our first pre-season game. Thank goodness we don't have to play your Ravens during the regular season, but it'd be nice to see you all in the Super Bowl to represent the AFC. I'm tired of only hearing about the Colts & Pats w/ a sprinkle of Chargers. Ravens are contenders this year, book it.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean on that part about how much of an impact every body part has. I just messed up my thumb kinda badly and I can barely tie my shoe so I can only imagine how it messes up a WR like yourself. You'll do fine, but I was just wondering if you're a little bit intimidated by their safety combo with Taylor and now Landry. I know you go out there and try your best no matter who you face but does it change the way you think if your facing a hard hitting secondary and not a couple "softer" safeties?

Yea, what was with the hammy those first two years? Glad you haven't done anything to it this year. Good luck tomorrow, I'll be watching, and stay healthy!

I was listening to Sirius NFL at training camp, and things are seeming awesome in Raven land. Good luck tomorrow!

"so i didnt even know i had hamstrings". - How funny! Another good blog from you. Glad to hear ur hand is better. We've been praying for u in OK. Good luck in the scrimmage 2morrow. I've got my tivo set already. (it's going to be shown on the NFLNet channel at 11:30am on Sunday for anyone who might want to catch it). You know, its so refreshing to know even guys like u get nervous b4 games. I trust u will do just fine - u have too many natural instincts and talent so don't worry about it too much!

Mark, I heard your name so many times today - I was in Norman for the annual "Meet the Sooners" event and all I heard from other fans around me was how awesome it was to have gotten your autograph a few years ago. I was so jealous!

Good luck with the scrimmage and the rest of camp. Keep up the good work with this blog, I enjoy reading it!

i Feel your pain Mark when ever i go out before my games i always feel nervous because i always want to play to the best of my ability.

Come out healthy Mark, that is all that is important! Hey, we have some vids and photos you might want from camp, holla.. Tim

I can't wait for football!!! I think the Eagles are going to do very well this year, the defense is restocked, which was our problem last year. With Donovan back and healthy, our offense has definitely been upgraded. I think with Kevin Curtis and the new backs to help Westbrook, Donovan has a lot of weapons to go to. We need not to abandon the run with Donovan back. It will only help him and open things up for him.

Hey man, have you talked to Troy Smith? How is he shaping up?

Hey Mark, you must be psyched about the young talent on the offensive side of the ball. What a future!

Hope the finger is better. Was it a deep bruise?

Hey Mark, the scrimmage was enjoyable to watch! You must be pumped for the young up and coming talent that you will have on the offensive side of the ball. Gaither man, WOW!
Hope you are recovering from the finger. Was it a deep bruise?

i have no worries.........you will shock the league again this year, if you can just get that damned qb of yours to stop playing catch with Mason so much (lol)!!!! this is OUR year, and no team will take that from us barring injury.........keep up the awesome work and you will have your ring in no time!!!!!

Mark - It was great to watch the scrimmage, especially the fiery attitude on offense. Keep it up - we've got unfinished business this year!

Dude, how awesome is blogging? That and sooner message boards are the only things that keep my brain alive in the offseason. Glad to hear you're healthy. Looking forward to the season. You made me a Ravens fan. On a different note, did you get to meet any of the fellas on the o-line when you're in norman? Big Phil? Holy freakin cow. Dude looks like he swallowed Chris Messner. I call him "Evenin" because he's so big. Anyway man, I'm so pumped that you're having success in the league. Your worked your butt off for it. You, my man, were the king of YAC. Stay healthy brotha!!!

Mark,
Thank your for having a blog, discovering this is just awesome. You are aweseom, i will never forget all the incredible plays you made while at OU, especially your TD run at Colorado breaking the whole teams tackles. Also, that TD catc you had last year where you tipped it to yourself and ran 70 yards was amazing. Good Luck and God Bless.
And you'll be on my fantasy team :)
Go Sooners. Tell All Them 'Canes, especially Ray Lewis, that we are going to show them how to hit!!!

It's great that you are willing to open up to the fans. ScottVanPeltStyle.com salutes your fan friendly commitment with a different finger than is normally reserved for opponents of the Ravens.

Salutations!
I'm from south africa and this is pretty much the closest i'll ever get to one of my many nfl heroes!!!!! This blog gives me a limited but well appretiated look into the lifestyle of the national football league. the ravens deffinately has one of their best shots at the super bowl this year, mainly because of the great reciever corps wich has speed experience and dedication...go mark, go get a ring and wear it on that sore finger of yours just to soothe the year!!!!!!
greetings from the southern tip of africa!!!!
peace!

Does anyone know what happened to Mark Clayton during last night's game agains the Giants? There was mention of him being taken to the locker room for review. I hope he didn't get hurt.
