The San Francisco 49ers suffered their second loss of the season in Week 6 vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Their focus now is getting guys back from injury and bouncing back in Week 7 vs. the Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately, one of their most prominent leaders and top players got hit with some bad news just ahead of tomorrow's matchup.

The NFL announced that it is handing out 21 fines from the Week 6 slate, including 49ers star LT Trent Williams. Williams is being fined $11,593 for what they labeled “Unnecessary Roughness.” Williams continued blocking a Buccaneers defender well after the whistle, which led to him throwing the player to the ground and drawing a flag. The league decided that wasn't enough, though, as the 49ers star tackle Williams’ wallet also took a hit.
Hopefully, this is just a small bump in the road and doesn't hurt the positive vibes around the team this season. They have battled through injuries throughout their roster, and they are thankfully getting star TE George Kittle back off the IR this week. They have to overcome not having Nick Bosa and Fred Warner to lead their defense the rest of the way, but this team has shown they have the heart to do what many believe is unthinkable. They won’t use the injuries as an excuse and neither should fans as this team still believes they can put together a late playoff run. I have no worries about a pro like Williams being able to put this news in the past and move on to helping the 49ers go head-to-head with the Falcons in Week 7.
