These are my thoughts exactly, It's getting harder to find Real articles, when you have to go 2 the fourth page to get past all of these trash posts.

I praise you for writing this article. I used to read this site everyday before I joined (which was about 2 months) We have a bunch of jokesters that make up b/s, post it, and wonder why they got negative points.

Thank you. People aren't creating accounts just to bash the Eagles. Most of them bring it upon themselves. As a member since close to the beginning before any athletes came on, some of the athletes have indirectly ruined the site. Portland people were a little too cocky when Oden came on, but they calmed down and now I like the majority of them. A lot of Eagles fans though, have made YB the joke it is becoming. Not all, but many. I realize I have said a lot of anti-Eagles fans comments on previous articles and the only thing I regret is arguing when I just should have let it go. Some fans cocky-ness just irks me sometimes. YardBarker is more of a Eagles fan site than a nationwide sports site now. Right now, the articles with the most comments, 8 of the 10 are Philadelphia related. Is there no other site for Philadelphia sports? If I knew how to make website, I would've made one for Eagles fans by now because it's ruining the site that used to be my favorite.

The one thing we all need to remember, including myself, is that these are all opinions, so try to respect them or ignore them.

I hear ya whitejordan. Not going to lie, I thought u were an a-hole, but your just as annoyed as most of the people. I love the Eagles but the fans on this site make me embarrassed. I'm going up to Baltimore to go to Ravens camp just to get away from this b.s. There my team now (2nd fav.) that this Eagles stuff is getting to outta hand.

Sorry if I come off that way, but thats just how I feel. It just disappoints me seeing how this website went from being something no one knew of, to then one of, if not the best sports website out, to where it is now. I mean, how many different articles are there for Wes Welker's comments on Asante Samuel? It seems like everything on here now is Eagles-related and personally, I really don't care much about the Eagles. I like them, I don't love them. I'm a Patriots fan, more of a Randy Moss fan, but the Patriots are my favorite team, nonetheless. I like all 3 major sports in America and it's hard to find the articles I'd be interested in when all 80% of the things are Eagles stuff. We need to figure a way to handle this and for now I hope we can handle this by being mature and realistic but I seriously doubt it will happen through that.

And as far as you being embarrassed by the fans, I probably would be embarrassed too if I lived in Boston, however I live in Indianapolis so no one likes them here. I used to like the Colts before I started hating their fans so I know how you feel about embarrassing fans. I try not to be biased but when people were taking shots at Welker, one of my favorite players, I had to say something. And I do think for the most part, my thoughts I say aren't as much bias as they are facts.

Yes, pinkpanthrr, one of the reasons I like New England (other than they have a certain #81 on it) is that everyone talks crap about the Pats here, when they continually beat the Colts. I remember back when Indy sucked. I went to a Giants-Colts game where a Kerry Collins-led team put up 56 or something close to that number. I was at that game when no one really cared about the Colts. Now, everyone's on the bandwagon even though many of them can't name anyone besides Peyton, Marvin, or Bob Sanders.

See, you brought this up respectfully and didn't say WES WELKER SUCKS. ASANTE SAMUEL IS THE BEST! GO EAGLES! Their are a few Eagles fans I like and wnat to keep on this site and you are one of them. As eagles fans I think we r some the fans a team could hope for but sometimes we do take things too far I understand that we r all trying to show our team the support they deserve but I jst do like it when some people go on and make dumb post I mean I would love it if that stops cuz they usually lead up to dumb argument among the eagles fans and other yardbarkers who r fans. Everyone is titled to their opinion but I wish people would stop bashing on the eagles jst cuz we don't have any sb rings yet. I no sometimes we (eagles fans) can get anoying with some of the stuff that we say but not all eagles fans r stupid and I feel bad cuz there a lot of dumb people that don't no wat they r talking about half of the time here that make us all look bad. The joke is that people take offense if they get "negative points" or if people attack their posts. You know that the purpose of you putting your ideas in a public forum is to create debate. Why are people supprised when some passionate sports fans mix it up?

You are being too sensitive..About 80% of the people on here on Eagles fans. I am constantly reminded every day that the Patiots cheated, that they should not have beat the Eagles in the SB because the refs were somehow in favor of the Patriots, and the whole game was fixed. This ofcourse is the view of all eagles fans, and how I must somehow be a useless scum bag with no worth as a human being (see PhillyinATL responses to me) because of that. Being told by someone that the Eagles haven't won a championship is not that bad. There are a LOT worse things they could be saying, like posting your personal pics on the main page of the football section and say you are an ugly, worthless, disgusting pig.

Everyone is biased when it comes to their team. The only thing that makes me mad is that someone could throw out a post about some kind of trade they would like to see, but have the IQ of a 2 year old, and the article is hardly ledgible. I mean some of the posts on here actually make me stupider as I read them, yet they get like 50+ points BECAUSE they are Eagles fans and are talking about the Eagles. Don't get me wrong, I am not the best writer in the world, but if I make some typos the content should still be READABLE!!!

I am actually a fan of the Eagles, and there are many other teams that I like watching play over the course of the season, I think that as a FOOTBALL fan you should be able to appreciate the game, the atheletes, and other teams. I think that is what respect and love for the game is all about.

These guys are just sprewing crap that makes no literary sense what-so-ever and they get all that credit? Seems a little biased to me. If I decided to change my screen-name and just post stuff like: "Eagles FO gets Chad Johnson" I could guess that I would get at least 35 responses.

I wouldn't say the it's a matter of being too sensitive, it's a matter of how in the 4 months I've been on this site, I've seen it do nothing be spiral downwards with stupid things. Yes, I saw and I'm sure that many did what was said about you. Not called for in the slightest. But that my point, this site has gone from discussions about sports to calling you out about how you look and how you feel about a certain player on a post that you wrote. All that really needed to be done was just ignore the post if it wasn't liked and move on. Obviously what was done got you amped up enough to send that individual a private message.

I know there are a lot worse things that can be said other than the Eagles not winning a SB, but it's a fact that someone created an account that day, just to say one thing. I bet you will never see that person post another comment again. If you do, I will be surprised.

Of course everyone is biased to their own team. I'm just as passionite about the Eagles as every other fan on this site, but I'm not going to start shit with people about it and take it personal. Then the article/post which was originally being commented on goes off on something else and the purpose is lost.

The stupidest part of that was that the article was a joke. I write stuff from time to time, and it will be a serious post/analysis on what I feel is going on in sports or what I want to see, and no one comments, and the one time I write something immature with an attempt at being funny everyone jumps on it. I really was joking about that, and I thought it was funny. It was a personal joke to me and my page. I also wrote one called "I hate you gisele" Do I hate Gisele?? NO! Do we REALLY care what Wes Welker said??? NO!!! So I don't see why we get the crazies on here that feel like they have to try and be little people...AND SFW if I took it off line with that man/girl/she/he thing. He was being friggin creepy, and I don't even know wtf he/she was trying to pull. I don't run around telling people they are old and ugly...but I could start.

That is why I emailed him/her. I will take it up directly wth the person instead of trying to pull a bi*tch move like that person did. Trust me you will get crazy people that will do that. I don't care. You have 900 other people that are fans of you to back u up. So don't worry about it.

I agree that one person's idiotic a$$ hole post can ruin the entire thread, but that is what free speach is all about. As long as you don't hurt anyone, you can say whatever the f- u want. Stay strong eagle fan! ;) jk.

Admittedly I post articles that are based on my immediate reaction to the days sports news.Not everyone enjoys them or views them with the same sense of humor with which they are written but I receive enough positive feedback to continue having fun on this site. I think what separates my humor/anger based posts is that the article headline (along with continued use of my original screen name) pretty much lets you know what you're about to read. If you don't like my articles or comments you can simply ignore them. I have found that other posters who have a similar style often disguise controversial opinions with simple, inaccurate, or misleading headlines. Also ,this apparrent trend of changing screennames is sad. Like me or not, I am consistent and it's reflected in my overall score.

What are there so many Eagles fans?????? I have been wondering that.

I first learned of this web-site because the local AM sportstalk station mentioned that Donovan McNabb blogs here frequently.Eagles have a massive fan base and generally check out anything having to do with the team.

I don't think the bashing is limited to Eagles fans.
I think most people that are willing to share thier honest opinions on things get thier share of it.

DF you are exactly right. I would come on here every day. I noticed some of my buds like CK0712 is gone among others. Sure I'm an Eagles Fan like many others. BUT there are fans from all the other teams too. Some who are as passionate as I am about the birds. There is a difference between rivalry, and JUST BEING A F**CKING D*CK! I have haggled with other team fans, and for the most part it's in fun. But Christ C'mon anymore most of the crap on here sucks.........Rivalry is whats great about football.....the endless bickering is pathetic.......calling people names and s**t can we grow up. Eagles fans dont like dallas and vice versa like other team rivalries...that's what makes football fun! so let's act like adults....h*ll we can F*ck with each other but let's be cool about it............

I'm an eagles fan but i don't focus on them, I'll post articles and comment on everything. The problem is there are eagle's fans that focus entirely on the Eagles. It isn't an eagles site. This is a sports site.

You can kep the tissue and after perhaps you should take the time to read the post over again, cause you may have missed the point. You can see where I said "I've never seen so many people take it as a personal attack". I could care less about people's opinions because YB doesn't control my life and some of those who state their opinions make no sense as it is anyway.

The point of this article was simply stating at what a joke this site is starting to become. People of post some intelligent things are actually make sense got shot down for what they state and then the whole purpose of the post gets lost because people start attacking each other. This site is supposed to be about sports news and if you haven't noticed some of the top bloggers who were on this site are now gone because of the nonsense that goes on here.

I don't focus solely on the Eagles and if you notice in the 3rd paragraph I did mention things said about the Patriots and Cowboys. Reason that was brought up was because if you go into any article most of them have some type of comment or eventually lead to some type of comment about the Eagles not winning a SB, the Patriots losing, etc... The point is neither have anything to do with the article.

Also, I am stating that people have their own opinions on things and they shouldn't be bashed for it nor should they be personally attacked. The post was more about having to do with some people losing focus on what this site and what these posts are about.

dont even try DF, that is the type of kid that this article was written about. Unfortunatley, he was one of the kids that knows little about footbal, but will bash you for the sake of it. haha. I miss the days when you could have an intelligent conversation on here with people about all different teams.
