The better question may be will anyone even notice he's out? New York Jets alleged tight end Chris Baker apparently hurt his back and the Jets were forced to put him on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Speculation arose that it was to punish Baker for a being a schnook and having severe delusions of granduer. Maybe so but I have to agree with Bob Bullock of the Jetsream blog over on Newark Star Ledger when he says this sounds like Pete Kendall Episode II: Attack of the Moans.A With the uber prospect Dustin Keller now in the fold alongside veteran Bubba Franks how much do Jets really need the underwhelming, underperforming Baker? He's never lit it up and then as soon as he has a passable season in an awful year where the JetsA anemic offense had no choice but to dump passes off to Baker as the line collapsed around the quarterback, he wants a raise! Please Mr. Tannenbaum, deal this guy for a 5th round pick and let's start the Dustin Keller era.
Another preseason forecast and this one sounds pretty good as the Jets get tabbed as a team on the rise thanks to their off-season additions.
