Cheap hit of the day: Vince Wilfork injures JP Losman

The Patriots can't just beat and cheat their opponents, they have to maliciously injure them. The QB position is one of the most protected positions in the game but this is a personal call by the DE. Vince Wilfork should be fined heavily, this was a really cheap shot.

cry me a river, he was playing football.

Oh, by hitting the QB after he had thrown the ball and low, right at the knee. Get a head on your shoulders and think about it.

It's the best thing that ever happened to the Bills. Now they can actually start getting better with Edwards. Losman has been terrible and every week you wait to see improvement but he always lets you down.

That's true, Losman has been bad, but this isn't the way you want it to happen is it?

Why does it have to be a "cheap hit" everytime a QB gets injured? It wasn't a cheap hit. I went for a tackle and ended up falling short. It's the chance you take playing a contact sport. Get a grip!

Going for the knee is never an ok hit, i don't care what the rules are.

Plus..have you SEEN the Size of Vince? He is huge! the guy must weigh like 300 lbs! JP is a skinny slim jim compared to that! Having THAT kind of weight put on you must be damaging to the internal organs...Ouch. Not Vinces fault that he is such a big guy..must have been born that way.

What made it a cheap hit was the extension of the arm. Its football, people will get hurt, its just the way it is. But Vince was falling and then extended his arm or elbow towards the knee. Clearly this is a cheap hit. I realize that in heat of the moment making a split decision like that is difficult, but going for the knee is uncalled for. Especially since you have cheated your way to a couple of titles and have teammates who jack up on HGH, now your going for the knees? come on.

like there are NO football players the NFL doing steroids except for the patriots. what an idiot...How did you see the extension of the arm? Did you have access to the spygate tape? Did they do it in slowmotion on your 42" Bravia TV so you could see the play before it ACTUALLY happens?? You must be one of those guys that just knows everything right? :P

Thank you, that's exactly the reason it's a cheap hit.

This is so lame to be sitting back in the easy chair and call shots... First of all find someone who is just as big as you are and push each other with all your mights.. then have that person to just let you go.. see how far your body will travel before it comes to a stop.. Yes this big boy is 300 lbs and stong as a bull... If you want to know the real problem... blame the line for not keeping him away from the passer. Hmmm maybe it was a set up.. the line wanted a new passer in the back?

Anyone see the game last night? Not sure who it was but they got to Brady and did hit Brady in the head.. Cost Cin 15 yards.. but the player came back to Brady and checked to see if he was alright... Wow..What a sport... So was that a cheap shot? or was it a cast of trying extra hard to do your job and just gotten a bit to wild about it? Brady was ok with it and the game went on...

The difference is the hit by Wilfork was at the knees, a very vulnerable position for a QB who is looking upfield, unlike a running back who sees the rusher and can protect himself.
