Dallas - Green Bay Preview

Tomorrow's game is the biggest game of the season thus far and I am damn happy that my dorm has the NFL Network. With that sai, it is time to break down the teams.

Offense: Dallas and Green Bay are both in the Top 3 offensively, Dallas being 2nd and Green Bay being 3rd. The quarterbacks are evenly matched, despite Brett Favre's experience. The difference comes at the running game. Ryan Grant has done an amazing job in Green Bay since he came in. However, Dallas has the Two-Headed monster of Speed( Julius Jones) and Power( Marion Barber III). The difference will be in the running game and I feel that Dallas is more potent on the ground. Edge: Dallas. Key Match-up: Flozell Adams on Aaron Kampman.

Defense: Green Bay is 5th in points allowed per game at 16.8 whilst Dallas is tenth at 20.1. The defenses are rather even with Green Bay allowing 20 more yards rushing per game and that can be bad news for Dallas but Dallas will have just as much of a problem with Green Bay's passing game. Edge: Push. Key Match-up: Al Harris on Terrell Owens.

Special Teams: Nick Folk and Mason Crosby are just as good as any kicker in the league with Crosby leading the league in scoring and Folk 3rd behind Crosby and Randy Moss. The teams are even in the return game with each team's returner averaging 23.6 on kick-offs. Edge: Push.

Location: Texas Stadium is not the best place to play for road teams, especially when Dallas is 10-1. The atmosphere will be very electric and Brett Favre has never won in Dallas in eight attempts. Edge: Dallas.

I think the game will be high scoring. but Dallas' run game and home field propels them to a victory.

Dallas 37

Green Bay 27

I for one do not think this game will end up in a 2 score difference. If it does, than it will be because of the packers 5-wide out formation is having a lot of success and The Pack win by 10+. The cowboys will need to control the clock and keep the ball away from Brett Favre if they want to win. Both teams have the fire power to produce a shoot out, but Green Bay's pass defense is more solid than that of the Cowboys. If the score stays low, I am giving the edge to Dallas. If it becomes a 1000 yards of combined offense than the cowboys will lose. Nick Folk wins it with a 50 yarder as the clock winds down.
Prediction: Dallas-23
Green Bay-21

the cowboys are the team to beat, they don't lose in texas stadium and they will not lose tonight. Romo is
Favre is the man but the cowboys are the winners my prediction are dallas 34 green bay27
