Four overvalued wide receivers to avoid drafting

These four wide receivers stand out to me as representing the "first tier" of overvalued wideouts - guys whose names frequently leap off the page to me as I review power rankings from around the web. Someone in your league will draft one of these players far too early. Don't let it be you.

Steve Smith had 4 different starting QBs last year. If you think it's easy for an elite WR to put up 1000 yds with that then your retarded. In the NFL how many backup Qb's pass for more then a hundred yards a game. Not may, now take the backup to a back. Now take a back up to a back to a back up. 1000 yds is incredible with that kind of passing.

@5forlife: That doesn't explain the other years of his career though, where he was a solid receiver, but not in line with Randy Moss or T.O. going into this season. The article is talking about overvalued receivers...not receivers that suck but people think are great.

Steve Smith is pretty awesome and I'm sure anyone would take him if he was available. He always hits a 1000 yards with a subpar QB. Do you think Delhomme is great? He's overrated and has only been to 1 probowl. I'm impressed Steve Smith can do what he does with such a crappy team.

Look up Steve Smith highlights on NFL.com and tell me that isn't star wideout quality there. Just because you're hurt doesn't mean you suck. I mean we still say Bulger is pro bowl and he's hurt all the time.

Yeah Steve Smith is pretty awesome.
