Plus it's the only position you can sport a 70's style moustache and still look way cool! Wow,the money says a lot about their importance even if most fans don't know their names.

What's a limen?

thats what i'm wondering

it's a typo u nut!!!!!!! LMAO!

A cross between a lemon and a lime?

You know. Like what they make Sprite out of.

Yah, mahn!!! Limon? Limen? Close. Put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up!!!

Two of these cats reside on the Dallas O-Line. Hmmmm!!!!!!!!!

Interesting list. Demarcus Ware says that Samuels is overpaid. He is ok with the rest. (ok, I didn't talk to Mr. Ware but he does prove it twice a year.)

If you look at the timing of most of the contracts on that list, you have to think the Patriots will be losing some lineman soon.

Chris Samuels is a monster, its funny how Joe Thomas is paid the most one word; DAMN, Matt Birk, Matt Light, Tra Thomas are all monsters and they're not on there, goes to show money makes a big man a ho

Yeah there has been a trend toward putting a premium on linemen, and they are finally getting those huge contracts. People who know the game know how much the battle in the trenches matter. Unfortunately most fans do not know, as evidenced by that sportsnation ESPN mock draft. What a disgrace that was haha.

Linemen (both offensively and defensively) are one of the most, if not the single most important pieces of the puzzle that you have. As much as we all love the skill position players and the big names, most of them would not be who they've become without their linemen battling it out in the trenches and winning the battles, where it all starts. I think to look for linemen to begin to gain in popularity with the fanbase seeing as to how the, even general, fanbase is getting smarter and smarter and realize the importance of the "not so sexy" positions.

Good point. They don't always get the credit they deserve, but they are the ones that make the team go.

I'd like to believe that but if you guys haven't seen the "NFL Mock Draft - SportsNation" @ ESPN, check it out:
http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/story?page=snmock08

It's nothing short of pathetic! 7 WR in the first round! Henne AND Brohm in the top 15! The second OT (Clady) wasn't taken until 18!!!

I think the defensive linemen are getting more attention from the general fan base b/c of the giants and whatnot, but still... pretty ridiculous.

I can't see 7 WR's going in the first round. Might happen, but very unlikely. And Henne? Top 15? Have these guys been smoking some hooch?

I think O-linemen deserve most adulation but like jared said its a "not so sexy postion".....but ay those guys get down and dirty for ya and making sure and 4th and inches is a 1st down
