Kearse Blames Eagles for Struggles

So I guess its our fault that we overpaid for the guy and put him a blitz happy defense where he can pin his ears back and have at it. I had respect for the guy until now.

brotha thats old news I dont expect Jevon to say anything less the man just gotta new deal he isnt going to come out and say "ay guys thanks for the money the reason I couldnt preform in Philly was because I'm whack" lol and yeah i too had respect for the guy til i read that........

well considering the comments were from this weekend...makes it rather current despite how long he has harbored such feelings

Way to take the easy was out Jevon. You'll get no more love in Philly.

Javone was more fragile then a house of cards during his time spent in Philly

he got hurt early and often, and when he came back from injury he looked more like an NBA small forward then he did an NFL Defensive End...

Now he is poiting the finger and blaming others for his lack of productivity?

"every time you point the finger, you have three pointing back at you"

Listen Javone. You stole money for 3 years... you were paid an elite defensive ends salary however you performed nothing like one.

button it up and keep it moving...

He was the George Bush of the NFL for his duration in Philly....overpaid to do absolutely nothing positive.

Mission Accomplished

looks like u dont know much about politics either

hmm yea my Polysci minor might indicate that...trust me, thats one road you don't want to go down brother so keep on driving.

Yeah......but Jevon wasn't controlled by a Democratic Congress which some people tend to not think about. Trent Cole didn't have any problem performing in the Philly defensive scheme. Kearse is just blowing smoke out of his *ss now that he has a home. He probably won't do anything back at the old homestead either.

I expected nothing less from this guy!

I thought he was a good guy, the fans loved him. But i lost alot of respect, you didn't perform for the contract you received just take responsibility and shut your mouth. I lost alot of respect I was hoping to see the guy get healthy and have a good season even though he isn't with the Birds, NOT NOW.

what a dill wad he can only blame himself for his struggles.to put the blame on jim johnson is just ludicriss maybe jims program was to intelligent for him msybe he has a learning curve,bu please jevon don't blame the old man for your shortcomings.lol.

i apologize maybe i need to go back to school myself mispelled a few words sorry guys & gals .ps ck0712 and mamma hope you had a great mothers day.

proper spelling and grammar are frowned upon here anyway!

Thank you, you2!

Being a former Gator myself, it pains me to say this but it seems every pro athlete that comes out UF is soft and injury prone. Fred Taylor Jevon Kearse LIto Sheppard. These players have enormous talent, they re fragile. In the Giants game when Kearse blew out his knee, that was going to be a huge season for him. He already has 3 and half sacks by week 2. He was making Darren Howard better too. What pains me the most was that he shouldnt have even been in that position. The giants and eli erased an 18 point deficit in the 4th quarter to put the game in to OT. So naturally what happens in the extra period, Kearse suffers what is basically a career ending injury and his tenure with the BIrds is over from that point on. Who knows what could have been

I didn't realize Kerse performed so poorly.

Yeah great, Jevon. You stunk up the joint for years and now you blame "schemes." How about your only actual talent as a DE was speed around the outside...and now you have none so it must be the scheme. Have fun getting booed in another city because you're a bozo. Thought he was a good guy but he proved that he's just an overpaid crybaby. What a genius.

He was decent when healthy, but he was NEVER healthy in Philadelphia. He has no right to blame the Philadelphia Eagles for his health. He should blame Football. Chances are his body just isn't cut out for him to be a professional...

I don't see how he can blame his lack of performance on philly.. I mean our main philosophy on deffense is to blitz the qb. if kears would've stayed healthy and performed well when healthy he might still be with philly but I still think he is a good guy but I lost some respect for him.

Kearse said that he felt that he was unfairly criticized in Philly last season. He was the definition of a free-agent bust. H didn't have a single All-Pro season in Philadelphia after signing a huge contract with a substantial signing bonus. It's amazing how some NFL players have an inflated opinion of their own abilities.

The Eagles made a mistake by letting Derrick Burgess go to Oakland. Hugh Douglas was a great free agent acquisition in the 1990's. Jevon Kearse is the antithesis of Douglas.

As much as I love Hugh...hes a pretty big A-hole off the field, something I thought Jevon was not. At least his ass could cash the checks his mouth wrote though.

Wow, disappointed in Jevon...I also had respect for the guy, didnt think he was this kind of person... good riddance Kearse...

Thats great Jevon, blessed with one of the most physically gifted and impressive physical traits, but the heart of a little bitch. By far the most dissapointing singings in momeory. He wont see the field in Tenn. Good riddance

is jevon serious? our defensive scheme is ALL ABOUT BLITZING...how is it our fault that he couldn't stay on the field? jevon's such an idiot HE even knew he wasnt doing good in philly because it was HIS fault (if you remember he started calling himself "The Freak* " last year, the astric meaning that he's not what he once was. jevon can go have fun rackin up an 8-8 season with the titans, good riddance you bum

I REALLY DONT THINK HE WANTED TO BE IN PHILLY CAUSE THAT AND HIM GETTING OLD COULD BE THE ONLY REASON FOR THAT POOR PLAY. HE WASN'T LOOKIN LIKE TO MUCH OF A FREAK, HE WAS LOOKIN MORE LIKE A SCRUB, HOW CAN TRENT COLE COME IN AND PUT UP BETTER NUMBERS THAN YOU, NOTHING AGAINST BUT JEVON USED TO BE ONE OF THE BEST IN DA LEAGUE, U BETTER SHOW ME SOMETHING THIS YEAR KEARSE

To be making the money he was with the way he wa playing....he was happy to be in Philly. Who wouldn't work somewhere they hate when they could make millions.

I wish john runyan would comment, and tell us how many times he PANCAKED him in practice!!!!!!!!!!

Excuses are tools of incompetence.

How can you say that when you can't stay healthy and get on the field...after this comment all eyes will be on you this year in Tennessee.

Hopefully you don't get hurt making a tackle again, or even running off the field.

Koy Detmer had more durabilty than "the freak", and the only thing freaky anymore about Jevon is how he limps off the field everyother play. And yea Trent Cole, a 5th round draft pick, doesnt seem to be having ANY problems getting to the QB, with NOBODY on the other side...Hopefully Big Victor and Clemens/Juqua will be a much needed improvement...By the way, no insult to Trent in that comment, Hes a beast among men, and I wouldnt trade him for another end in the league...

he didnt mind collecting that free money, what an ass,we"ll see this year if it was the eagles or just him henever thought he would be let go from anywhere but hey the eagles gave him a wake up call that said your not top notch anymore

All players that can't come to grips that they just don't have it anymore always blame other people and teams. Look at Roy Williams (cowboys Roy) He is now blaming the defense. I am sorry a great player can play in any formation, defense, package whatever. Kearse is now a duschbag!! like T.O.

amen to all of you spoken like true fans thanks again.

Yes Jevon, It is the Eagles fault that you hit a wall with your physically abilities.

Yes Jevon, it is the Eagles fault that you constantly were injured season after season and didn't lead up to expectation.

Yes, Jevon it is the Eagles fault that you were basically stealing money from them the entire time your wore an Eagles uniform.

But the blame won't be on the Eagles for long, because after this season it will be the Titans fault that you suck.

They call him the "Freak"? Yea the Freak that stands on the sidelines and scares his own fans with his ugly face. He is 10 feet 100 lbs. It is like putting Pinkston at DE

Kearse was injured before he was an eagle and injured while he was an eagles..

as we see he has played 3 complete seasons out of 10!!! 3 out of 5 with the titans

Blame Belichick!

What for allowing his fanbase to include such an idiot? Sorry but that excuse won't work for you.

I liked Kearse until he spoke such giberish!!!!

well the scheme is different in philly... in Tennessee all he has to do is rush the passer, thats why antwan odom looked good last year, its why kearse looked great when he came into the league. its why when kearse came to philly, in a scheme were he had more responsibility, he SUCKED.

its also why kyle Vandonbosch, looks elite, and why Jevon will be decent this year.

Are you kidding me? The schemehas nothing to do with getting hurt all of the time. If you say that the scheme is why he was getting hurt I may have to kill you.

He was decent when he was healthy, but that was few and far between.

injured twice is all the time? oh ya 3 sacks is decent i forgot.
Actually, let me stop being sarcastic for a second. The D-Line schemes do have their differences, unless you can somehow explain that JJ dramatically altered ours within the past few days...

Well, I guess it doesn't matter if it was the Eagle's fault or not. If he fits into the Titans' system then: Whohoo!
