Keenan McCardell signs with Texans

Keenan McCardell is going to play for his hometown team, the Houston Texans. The deal is worth $860,000. He isn't very fast but is a very solid route runner and should help the young receivers learn how to beat jams. McCardell is in his 16th season and has caught 861 passes which is top 3 for active players behind the likes of Marvin Harrison and Issac Bruce. He will also be a good leader in the locker room as he can give the team advice about what to do heading into a big game. He will also help quarterback Matt Schaub settle down when he is under pressure. McCardell doesn't have much fantasy value at this time.
