MVP season for Donovan McNabb?!

I agree, but i thought he would have an mvp season last year. I think a few things have to pan out in order for it to happen: 1. He needs to stay healthy. 2. the line needs to protect better. 3. The receivers need to play much better, and i think LJ being back and if we use desean, the offense will be dynamic, kind of like that 06 season. 4. Bwest needs to stay healthy, because without him we are NOTHING

u get stupider every page u comment on. how is the best qb in the nfl the weakest link. name 1 qb in hiostory that was able to get to 3 nfc championships w/o and weapons or o line. elway comes to mind but he had a line. mcnabb had a horrible playcalling coach and a mediocre team and was still ablke to win. brady had the best offense of all time and a bend but not break defense who played well in the sb and he still couldnt win. he is horrible. he cant throw a good pass

andy reid is one of the best coaches in the NFL. plus Donavon has had the best duo of Tackles in the NFl for a while in Tra and Jon.

totally agree!!! i love how peyton has the wide recievers and isn't mvp every season but mcnabb had just one pro bowl wideout and u probably could of made the case of mvp that year. so if mcnabb had two pro bowl i think he'd be the greatest q.b. in the nfc!

Brady had no Pro Bowl receivers in any of the three Super Bowl championships but Philly fans continuously post if Donovan had the same receivers as Brady did. He had Randy Moss last year and they lost. You can't take away their victories in the Super Bowl because they won them fair and square.

His "performance" has been fantastic. He had great numbers in 2006 before the injury and finished last season very well while recovering from that injury. Would I say he's going to have an MVP season? Probably not, but with his talent it could very well happen if we have a great season. The only questions around Don are his supporting casts' contributions and if he can stay healthy.

He was on pace to throw for around 4500 yds 28TD and 16 INT in 2005 before the injury.

He was on pace to throw for around 4200 yds 29 TD and 10 INT in 2006 before his injury.

Ergo, when healthy he "performed" exceptionally well. Perhaps you'd like to take a better look at his performances since the superbowl.

He wasn't great in the Buffalo game.Injury isn't "fantastic" performance.And how's he gonna win MVP with a team that at best will go 10-6 and sneak into the wild card spot?

well mcnabb did great in 05 even w/ a hernia and reggie brown bewing his #1 guy when t.o. was suspended. when t.o. was in mcnabb did great and even when he was out he did ok but defense lost all of our games. in 06 he was going to be mvp but got the acl and in 07 he was rated 9th in the nfl even w/ recovering from and acl and having no weapons ecept b west who is not a wr, no line, and a hurt lj so obviously when hes healthery hes the best qb in the nfl and when he has weapons ididots like u consider him to be good

I still consider him "good".Just not gonna slober all over myself predicting MVP awards and superbowls for Donovan.If you gave other QBs even half the excuses you make for McNabb there would be a ten-way tie for MVP each year.And really who cares if he wins MVP?Is that what we're trying to accomplish?I guess superbowls are nice but contrived accolades for McNabb and beating Dallas is better.Whatever.Just want them to win more than 8 F-ing games with or without McNabb.

He could not even have an MVP season with what he has had in the past. Why would anyone think he would now? I think the Giants and Cowboys are still going to be the cream of the NFC East. The draft sure didn't do anything to change my thoughts on that one.

i didnt know breaking the record for 1st qb to have over 30 tds and less than 10 pics in a season isnt mvp caliber. he has had horrendous weapons in the past. when he had t.o. he broke records so if he had weapons again the best qb in the nfl donovan mcnabb would have an mvp season easily. seeing how he doesnt, he wont be mvp but will still do better than eli or romo just like he did last year even w/ his hurt acl

McNabb had a decent year last year, but he darn sure didn't put up the numbers Romo did and Eli went to the S.B.
