McNabb Wins MVP!

I'm so proud of my mom. She just won an MVP award! Recently Eddie George came up with the NFL Moms Weight Loss Challenge. They competed as teams to see who could lose the most weight. Well, my mom's team won and she was the MVP, having lost 40 pounds during the course of the 2007 NFL season. Congratulations Mom and all the other moms as well.

Here's a look at the press release…

Nashville, TN – Feb. 1, 2008: Eddie George, former all-pro running back and current media personality, recently wore a t-shirt on national television that read "I Love Hot Moms!" He surely does, and proved it by guiding 26 members of the NFL's Professional Football Mothers Association to over 200 pounds of weight loss and great lifestyle changes. The mother's will speak of their successes on his radio show on Monday.

In September of 2007, Eddie's company, EGX Lifestyle, challenged the moms to change the way they ate, cooked, and exercised. The moms were divided into teams representing the AFC and the NFC. Eddie then devised a 16-week program for them and personally worked them out and monitored them with the help of his staff of professionals. The Results? The NFC won the conference battle, judged by how much weight and/or percentage of body fat lost. However, both teams of ladies are now carrying the proud mantle of "Hot Moms," because they've been changed forever.

Constance Davis, mother of Anthony Adams (Chicago Bears), lost 51 pounds; Wilma McNabb, mother of Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Donovan McNabb, won the MVP award for her hard work, dedication, and lost of 40 pounds; Mary Gurode, mother of Andre Gurode (Dallas Cowboys), got high-school skinny.

The most touching story came from Gladys Bettis, mother of retired NFL star Jerome Bettis. Through the EGX Lifestyle program, she lost over 30 pounds, and in the process, discovered a heart problem that was previously undetected. She ended up having quintuple bypass surgery, a life-saving procedure that may not have been found had she not undertaken Eddie's program with vigor.

Hey Ms McNabb, way to go. I try so hard to lose weight but with the medications I take for my heart and breathing problems it makes it doubly hard. You will be my inspiration from now on. Keep up the great work you do for all the organizations you and your family are involved in and next year we hope to see all of you at the Super Bowl.....with Donovan leading the way to the win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We love you all. Sue

Congratulations to Mrs. McNabb for her efforts with the weight loss program and her own personal weight loss! Now that Mrs. McNabb has her MVP I'm hoping that you do the same next season! Enjoy your off-season and think Super Bowl for next year. By the way, I'm with you on adding additional weapons. Also, I'd like to see the Eagles utilize what they have (BUCK!).

Congrats Mrs. McNabb!

you really know how to butter up a man

Congrats to your mom! Hope all is well in the McNabb family. After watching yesterday's terrific Super Bowl it makes me hungry for the Eagles to return to the big stage and work some magic like our rivals up north. I am ready for you to lead this team back to the playoffs next year!

when are you getting in the program don?

when are you coming to baltimore, don?

how bout when hell freezes over. baltimore doesnt need a qb it needs a great fire... to clear out all you bums

Congratulations Mrs. Mcnabb! You are just as level headed and hardworking as your son. With God's help everything and anything is possible. Hopefully this upcoming season your son will accompany you with a MVP award of his own. If anyone deserves it he does. Once again congraulations. And I can't wait to training camp starts so 5 can go out and get ready to go win a Superbowl trophy with his teamates. And for the TRUE fans not the crybabies and haters.

Mama McNabb is a hard-worker... im not suprised. Look at her son!

Congrats Momma McNabb! And a big get well to Momma Bettis!

Congratulations Mrs McNabb and all the Football moms!

Hey D-mac think Randy will want to wear green next year?

Donovan, heard a rumor saying that you would like to play in Detroit next year. Any comment???

like mother like son...MVP runs in the family. You're the all time Eagles MVP for sure.
i'll make a deal with you, i'm way overweight, if you win a championship i'll lose 40 lbs. too seriously....heck i'll just go get started right now because i know you'll keep your end of the deal.

Hello,
I have to admit, I'm not a raging football fan like everybody on here, but, I still appreciate the sport.
I would like to say Congratulations to your mom on her weight loss and good health, but not only that, Congratulations for raising a good-hearted son!
As a mother, I know how hard it is to raise a child (especially at my young age 26-had my daughter when I was 19), and she's obviously done an AWESOME job! Not only are you a good athlete, but a great person all around.
Your mother has done a wonderful job, and I'd like to send HER some Philly love and KUDOS for a job well done!
Brandi-Levittown, Pa.

Congrats on your mom and also good luck next year during the 2008 season. I think the Eagles ( with a few playmakers ) will be able to pull off a Michael Strahan and " Stomp opponents out! " With you healthy, we are capable of doing anything next year. Good Luck Donovan!

Congrats Donovan! I just sent you an email through your website about Dr. James Andrews...hopefully you can respond to it. Dr. Andrews is my idol, and I would LOVE to get an intern with him...unfortunately, he is impossible to contact.

Congrats donavan! I just sent you an email through your website about Dr. James Andrews...hopefully you can reply back!

Hey donovan, I think all you need to do to at least get to tampa is the following:
get your team the eagles to sign some BIG names in FA or trade: roy williams if you can or chad johnson, or larry fitz, or randy moss.
2nd: stay healthy, this is important, the more players are healthy the better chance you all have
3rd: tell your team to let go of players that are not worth the price anymore: javon DE,greg lewis, mahe, and ryan moats.
if all goes as planned: TAMPA you will go :)

Hey Donovan, Congrads on your mother... an i keep hearing on espn that chad johnson wants to leave the bengals... i seriously believe if u signed him, this is one of the big moves we need to make it to the superbowl once again.. randy moss as well... these are players that can make a differance to your organization.. so u seriously need to talk to andy (coach) an everybody else in that organization to make these moves possible...

Congratulations to Mrs. McNab. The only thing that would make it all sweeter is an MVP for Donovan in the 2008 Super Bowl. 99.9% of the fans in Philly are behind you, Donovan We hope to have you until you decide to retire.

Grats Mrs. Mcnabb.....and Don you will be the MVP next year..we got faith in you man!!!! #5 for life :)

Donovan: You're a good guy and a great player. It's unfortunate you got drafted by Philly instead of a team and system that could have gotten you a ring. If you leave ,I'll bet you'll get one!

Donovan, this is your brother in the LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!, I recently got saved in 05'. He told me some things then, and now I am writing to you. I am ready to play and win what belongs to us. I know that you
and Trot and a few others know that this is more than just a game. But rather GOOD vs Evil !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pray about me and the Holy Spirit will tell you!!!!!!!!!!! May God bless all of our mothers!!

Congrats "Mama". It was a real pleasure to meet you and the other PFPMA's on the cruise last week. I'm going forward with weight loss and dietary changes. Thanks for the inspiriation. Shout out to Tammy (my soprano buddy - see ya in Atlanta!). Pat in Midland, TX

GO MCNABB! This is your year. MVP! MVP! MVP! Mcnabb when your healthy your the best quaterback in the league! You need a number one wide reciever though. Like Chad Johnson! ALL THE WAY THIS YEAR!
