GO FOR IT... WHAT THE HELL.

I would call him a number 1 reciever. He really only had one good year like in 02, since then he has been disappointing. I rather keep what we have before we get some one who is injury prone.

i hear ya dubdeezy... good point man.

i'd call him a reciever who couldn't crack the starting line up in greenbay, one isn't great. or even good.
He isn't very tall, i might take him on the outside and move curtis to the slot... but idk.

I sure as hell dont want another bum reciever on our team. Lets give Reggie another freaken chance and if he doesnt step up this year, hes gone. Wait its Philly, theyll actually prolly extend his contract....

Maybe as a receiver to replace Greg Lewis in our last WR slot. And only for the league minimum for one season to show us what he is worth. But if this guy thinks he's getting a multi-year deal he can for get about it.

This guy is a Receiver who belongs on a team who's rebuilding or a team that's not even thinking about the playoffs.

This guy doesn't deserve to catch passes from Donovan McNabb!

Nothing personal towards Koren Robinson, he's just not any good. If he wants to play for the Eagles he better prove to us that he wants to win.

But why not for punt or kick returns...not much better options available there.

quentin demps, desean jackson

exactley rhcp....chas wtf are you talking about? Did you know there was a draft?

Both are unproven rookies though. As well as I think they can and will perform, a little competition could be a wonderful thing. They've shown us in this offseason at the CB and TE positions that they are not afraid to load up and let the best man win.

we also have buck and JR Reed

and neither Buck nor Reed can hold a candle to Robinson's return stats. They both suck in the return game. I'd much rather see them focus on their actual positions.

I am welcome to competition in training camp, and thats all koren robinson would be. don't you think your taking it a little to far by saying buck and jr reed suck in the return game? Bucj was decent. I think your giving a little 2 much credit 2 robinson.

A little far? No not at all based on each of their track records. Buck did an OK job in his only year returning kicks, and JR has been just as OK over his career. JR is nowhere near what he was before his achilles injury. Buck averaged around 21 yds per kick...which is average. JR averaged about the same with 22 per. Neither of them has ever broken one for a TD. Robinson has average 25 per over much longer return career...and yes, 3 yards per return over the course of 1 season IS significant. He has also seen the endzone more than once.

Um....everyone is going nuts over what Desean Jackson can provide on kick returns. Why would we sign a washed-up WR who hasn't produced since 2003 to compete for a position that he will just lose. Believe me, if we stick with Desean then we'll have less headaches.

DeSean will be returning PUNTS....not KICKOFFS

He's a good return man (kickoff) but I think that the Eagles are fairly happy with what they already have. And why waste a WR spot on our roster when we can save room for June 1st? *cough OHCO* haha :)

He's not even the best receiver on the market with character issues. That honor goes to Chris Henry. Either way both of those guys have problems both of them have been suspended by the league. Plus look at who was picked after him. Chad Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Santana Moss, Steve Smith and T.J. Houshmandzadeh were alll drafted after him. So no matter what way you look at it, he will be considered an underachiever.

hell we picked fred-ex up before them!!! i agree he's a headache and can't really do anything but special teams!!!!let's pass on him!!!

But Koren will play next season...Henry will not.

maybe as a back-up that is.

we would have a solid receiving corps nothin game breaking

Give him a one-year deal and see what happens. The risk is worth the reward. I loved watching him in Minnesota.

what about seattle and green bay as well?? theres a reason hes been floating from team to team... its because he SUCKS!!!!!!!! hes a bust... the 9th overall pick 7 years ago and hes put up monster stats such as 3844 yards rec along with 14TDs in his ENTIRE career... thats a joke, the risk is worth the reward.... hahahahaha!!! WHERE IN THE WORLD DO YOU SEE A REWARD IN THOSE STATS????? dont tell me return man either because we already picked up one of those in the draft...

yeah but if we do that do we give up on trading for anyone else?

I could only see him in a return role with very limited receiving time. But it's not like you'd have to pay him top dollar. There would be plenty of space with him. Plus, it's not like you couldn't cut him if things didn't work out.

No way. That's sending a bad message to the rest of the team. This guy led a high speed chase while drunk and has been suspended twice! And you want to sign him?? What are we, Dallas?

He got from St. Peter to Mankato in 10 minutes DRUNK! It's hard to do that sober, my friend. Besides, he's trying to clean up, it's just not always the easiest thing to do. KoRo is a good guy and a good player. It's just when he messes up he REALLY messes up. He served his time now and could really help a team out.

LOL.....good points I was just asking .....I think we still need some Punch at the WR spot....I am hoping the bengals just let OCHO GO....the did draft 2 WR's and just signed Purify.....I hope they are setting the TABLE for the big trade!!!!

The Eagles really dont need anymore number 2 or 3 wide recievers....

get him it will be good i been sayi this since january for aj feely now we can get him for free

Let's just stick with trying to get a true number one receiver.

This guy isn't even a true number three receiver.

whoa number 3 he can do it give him a chance he is way better than lewis right now

YES I AGREE bwest36allday...WAY better than lewis

Great point dmcnabb4mvp---we need a dog on the field--if robinson, could not make in green bay, what the heck,if he will make in philly----I say--take some of drafts picks--they have 11 in 2009--go after a proven #1 wr--they have until june 1st to make happen--if they really want to win a super bowl period!!!

im not up to date on cap penalties but couldnt we sign him then cut him if he sucks w/ no penalty or put him on the pracice squad. the more we have the more competition we have and the more we can pick from

o.k. i was against signing him before, but now, eh...

i couldnt hurt, is this guy another deep threat, or is he a red zone target. we need a redzone target badly. especially if LJ doesnt come to form.

Hes neither

right, but a great return man with years of experience. simply having him in camp could do wonders for our young guys

He is not any better than our number 3 receiver ....so why would we sign him? If we sign any receiver it should only be one that is better than Curtis,,bottom line !!!!!!

Compettion is never bad for team sports. Sometimes a change of scenery can help. Dont underestimate what good coaching can accomplish. Plus a positive team message, family enviornment and a winning atomosphere. Talent can be coached. Koren Robinson obviously has talent if he was taken so high in the first round. You can bring him in here for next to nothing give him a contract loaded with basically and incentive only money and league min base salary. The eagles have a powerful offense. Examples Dmac gets injured Feely or Garcia or even Koy Detmer comes in and the offense still ran smoothly, Bring in a guy with talent and see what he can do. He surely couldnt do worse then what we had last year. Brown didnt even show up until the middle of the season. Bring in a guy with speed who is very familiar with the offense that Andy Reid runs Ala SEattle and GB, they basically run the same version of West Coast offense. Im not saying this guy going to get A Wr spot on first team offense, but why not take a look and try and improve. How can having more talent hurt. LOOk at what The Patriots did. Give Dmac as many weapons as you can hes no spring chicken anymore and CANNOT CARRY THIS TEAM ANYMORE. He needs to have more of an Elway type role, where he can be good just not expected to win the game every week

Agree with the change of scenery...just means new bars for him to frequent though. All the coaching and love in the world can't cure alcoholism.

Cris Carter beat Substance abuse and went on to be one of the most productive wr s in league history. Its true that only the player can make the neccessary changes to overcome the illness, im just saying hes still young hes talented, maybe some of the eagles veteran leadership can help with his urges to drink so he can have a productive season. Im just saying it wont hurt to bring him in to camp and see what this guy can do ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD

He was also a man of character...Koren is not. I'm all for giving him a shot, problem is he might need to a chaser.
