The NFL might need a lockout

I've seen sports (MLB, NBA, NHL) all go through lockouts at times in which the sport was very popular. Every single time the leagues made changes and fans were asked to embrace the game again. It's not an overnight process but as each league is now a few years out of their last work stoppage I think it's safe to say that in all cases it was worth it in the long run.

The NFL might need a lockout, but if it happens, I will definitely need professional therapy.

ha you and me both

It's ridiculous to say that the NFL will be better off being unable to come to an agreement and having a work stoppage.

I've got a question: you suggest the owners lock the players out if they can't change the current agreement and then say that Gene Upshaw should be removed because he hasn't done enough? Gene Upshaw negotiated the current agreement for the players...the one that the owners unanimously voted out of...the same one that you just wrote should lead to a lockout. How does this make sense?

gold, couldn't have asked it better.
