The first of June is here and we made no splash,

So now its time for people to talk their trash,

We all sat and waited with our hopes high,

Unfortuntly we didn't get "that" big physical guy,

Now we sit a few hours past four,

Awaiting the news of a true#1, out their teams door,

Could he be coming our way? Probably not.

But hey who knows its worth a shot,

Could it be Cinco Ocho whos number 85?,

With him on the squad he could keep 5 alive,

Or the guy from the lions, that beast Roy?

We can watch him throw defenders around like a toy,

Now lets not forget about Anquan Boldin,

If we aqquire him our O will be golden,

We sit here as if it were Christmas eve,

Hoping for news we cannot belive,

We all want him physical with lots of speed,

Lets hope we get that WR we need,

Anyone of these names will be fine with me,

So I will comeback later to check and see,

Eagles fans, it's getting late
another day, and here we wait

nothing has happened, like many have said
no breaking news, the trade block is dead

our roster is set, Andy hath spoken
we cannot fix that which is not broken

a top 10 offense with injuries galore
gaining more depth and showing no one the door

a healthy McNabb and a scary D
who can now stop us?...nobody

this is our year, we've said it before

Squish refer to your comment before your "poem" ....You took the words right out of my mouth in regards to your own poem. So the Eagles get NOONE like EVERYONE who knows ANYTHING abiut football said the WHOLE time, and now your an embarrassment to REAL EAGLES fans and it just not fair. Anyone who is "shocked" or "disappointed" by the absolutely UN-NEWS-WORTHY "news" of nothing happening, does not deserved to be called an Eagles fan, because true Eagles fans actually KNOW their football, theyre not little kids (or 20s and 30 somethings with the brain capacity of an infant) and knew all along NOTHING would happen yesterday. NOW ENOUGH OF THE FOCKING WR COMMENTS/F'ing POEMS AND JUST MAKE IT FREAKEN STOP NOW!!! For the LOVE of GOD, just GIVE it UP already people!?!?!?! no way - LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! know what, it's the sht like that right there doll face, that makes me laugh even harder. and makes me blog even harder, to bring the news to the yard. the WR's blogs, i don't read them because i don't care-this one was funny, this one amused me, this guy actually took some thought and wrote a "poem" to try to lighted up the whole mood here in the yard. again, it does not surprise me in the least, that one would bash, or one would call me a girl......HELLYEAH i am & i'm good at what i do, dig it

The ONLY thing I said in regards to being a female is as clear as day above...I'll re-write for ya..."Ck the whole poem thing must be a girl thing"...NEVER at any point did I question your intellect, sports knowledge, or be demeaning in ANY way. You KNOW im one of YOUR biggest fans and for you to say that, seriously surprises me. Theres about 3 people whose posts I read and take seriously, YOU being the main one. IM SORRY, but theres nothing I said that I didnt mean or would take back. Besides maybe the girl comment, bc I should have figured it would be twisted into something completely different than what it clearly states. IM SORRY for not being a FAN of poems?? Im not even going to get into why all the sudden "sports fans" are "poem fans" because its obviously an extremely sensitive day for EVERYONE including myself. And that will just create another "firestorm" LOL....You can "dig" whatever you like, if I dont like something I can state that too. Im sorry that only me and a few others say how we TRULEY feel, but thats what the websites here for. People post what they consider things that are worth it, and people leave comments agreeing/disagreeing with the post (if original)..But to suggest that Im bashing "girls" is just flat out ridiculous and you know better CK. I have mad respect for your posts and you KNOW this. We dont have to agree on EVERYTHING, its just most guys see a pretty girl on the site and there going to agree with everything they say/think, me not being one of them. But THAT seems more sexist to me, atleast moreso than what I said. I think when a female knows her stuff about sports its ABSOLUTELY awesome, and I think your posts are usually better than ANY other barker on the site, male/female or whatever, I dont even usually know the sex unless theres a blatant picture up. If "fans" are upset that I dont think "poems" belong in an NFL post, thats FINE. Ok you know what, this time I'm gonna bite my lip bc I KNOW what im about to say will set some people off in here, and Im not here to do that. I went on a little tangent(if thats how you spell it) this morning because I thought the poem was terrible and didnt belong on a sports website. SORRY IF MY OPINION OFFENDS YOU, but ITS MY opinion which im entitled to have. Im not here to please certain people, or try to "impress" anyone. Im here to read peoples original posts, but maybe this just isnt the site for me....Im REAL in real life and I'm REAL in here, been that way and will stay that way. ah, rubs hands, now this is what i was waiting for. this is perfect reply Jared :) and i always dig everything i say and do, that's how i am. the girl thing, i took it and ran with it, as i always have. if you've been reading my blogs from day one you would know that. as for a pretty girl and everyone agreeing, that isn't so, for the LONGEST time ppl. thought i was a GUY, using some chicks picture :)!!!!!! you didn't offend me at ALL!! not in the least, that's why i laughed before i started to reply above.

i don't take offense to anything anyone says on this site, but i voice my opinion and i'm tired of seeing eagle hate on hate on this site. it's become mundane at best.

Cool ive had a rough week, and on your other post you totally went off on me? Im just going to shut up today because I obviously have a bad case of verbal diarrea today, and your the last person I am trying to offend or upset. I would never "bash" your articles, I mean like Ive said, your my FAVORITE barker. I can see after re-reading my original comment that it was nasty and angry, and 757 Eagles, I apologize for taking out my frusterastions on your post. Im not the bashing type, and I totally bashed today. Wish I could have had your back earlier, Ck. But I feel no need to chime in now because you handled things. But I do want to tell you I think you're the sh-t. I truly appreciate you taking the high road (which we know is not always easy - especially when attacks become personal), for advocating decency between folks on the threads (especially for fans of the same team - and for those folks who are just angry), for not letting some folks get away with the "boy/girl" bullsh-t, for knowing how to stay on-topic (versus letting it get personal), and for knowing your stuff. lol well guess what i'm a girl too and i'm a huge broncos-bills fan and i thumbed this up last night because it was funny and different. oh man this sht on here is priceless anymore gets better and better as the days pass. girls can hang with the men too and by the looks of things, doin a pretty good job ot it.

I liked the poem. And geez, people. It's not that hard to not read it if it makes you that angry.
It's not like he came into your living room and forced you to read it at gunpoint.

Just a suggestion - though - maybe the more lighthearted type stuff could be tagged under backyard so people don't feel so offended about having it in the feed?
