Third year a charm for Reggie Bush?

215 carries, 85 catches, 1,700 combined yards, 13 total touchdowns.

Those are the numbers Larry Holder of the Sun Herald expects of Saints' runningback Reggie Bush this season. Yes, that Reggie Bush.

The same Bush that struggled mightly in 2007 after starting runningback Deuce McAllister suffered his second severe knee injury in three seasons. The same Bush that succombed to a knee injury of his own at the end of last season, keeping him out of the final four weeks while the Saints made a late-season playoff push. The same Bush that came into the NFL in 2006 with a load of hype, only to struggle at times while showing some flashes of greatness (particularly down the stretch of the season and in the playoffs).

The same Bush that just about every NFL critic, expert and pundit has repeatedly declared cannot handle a starting runningback's load for an entire season.

So is Holder crazy?

I'm still not completely sold on him, though it wouldn't surprise me really if he has a decent year. Don't see him being a 1,000 yard rb though.

Reggie Reggie he is gonna have a great year with Deuce and Schockey opening up the field for him. He needs more touches and needs to receive the ball in more open space! I was in the dome when he returned that punt againts the Bucs for the game winner. I still get goosebumps watching that play on youtube. It was just incredible to be in the dome at that time. F@#@ all the haters watch out NFC Reggie is gonna break out this year.

Reggie was overrated coming into the league becasue he was so much faster than people in college that he could just run aorund them. Now he's with the big boys and they dont get fooled so easily with his little jukes and spins. He's a great spark and in the open field he's great but he's about as effective as devin hester would be if hester was a rb. I expect another down year and can anyone give the TEXANS credit for having the balls to take Mario over him?

who dat who dat. shi credit? Reggie was the better pick.

How was reggie the better pick? Mario looks like the games next great pass rusher while Reggie looks like a nice combo back who cant shoulder the load by himself
