Top 10 Favorite Moments from the All Stars Helping Kids Fantasy Football Draft Party

Last Friday, Ronnie Lott's charity organization, All Stars Helping Kids, held an event that gave corporate sponsors a chance to team up with NFL legends to draft a fantasy football team. Yardbarker.com 's Dewey Hammond and FoxSports's Mike Harmon emceed the event, which had many highlights, a number of which came during Dewey's between round interviews. Thanks to Yardbarker, I was lucky enough to be a "roaming analyst." When I agreed to help out, I didn't know what to expect; I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to be doing or what NFL guys would be there. In the end, I was bouncing from team to team, providing my expert fantasy analysis to Ronnie Lott, Marcus Allen, Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, Warren Moon, Charles Haley, Tim Brown, Tom Rathman, Brent Jones and Ted Hendricks.

Besides meeting all of these greats, here are some of my personal favorite moments that the cameras may not have captured. Enjoy, I know I did.

10) Showing Darren McFadden how to activate Star Power on Guitar Hero.

9) Having Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin say "Get Dave over here!" and having Ted Hendricks call me "clip board guy."

8) Telling Ronnie Lott (the event's organizer) that he didn't have the first overall pick of the draft any more...after he had already submitted his selection of Tomlinson.

7) Having a one-on-one conversation with Michael Irvin about the Bengals WR situation and specifically about a conversation he had with Carson Palmer a week before. Both Ocho Cinco and Housh were on his draft board early in the third round, and Michael Irvin took Housh over Chad. How about that?

6) When making my recommendation to Jerry Rice and his team for their last pick, Jerry looks at his team and points at me and says "that's our guy." I can pretend he was talking about me and not about my suggestion, Rashard Mendenhall (a steal that late in the draft). Right?

5) Having Michael Irvin call Deion Branch because he didn't believe me when I told him that Branch was likely to miss the first half of the season because of off-season knee surgery.

4) Telling Michael Irvin that as a life-long Giants' fan, I rooted against him his entire career, but that I really enjoy his studio work and look forward to seeing him again.

3) Having Michael Irvin tell me to "think with my clipboard and not with my heart" when he asked for my thoughts on drafting Eli Manning over Derek Anderson

2) Having an opportunity to tell Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin which WRs I think are good.

1) Being treated like an expert by a room full of Hall of Famers.
