Waste No Time

Yesterday I shared my message to the team this week and now I have one for the Yardbarker fans. Once again in life, everything on the outside ain't really what's going on with you on the inside, and that's what you've got to be able to decipher from living in the world today.

You've got to know that every day you're waking up to find a different purpose about your life. 'What am I up today? Who am I supposed to effect? Why should I do this? Why should I do that? Why should I work out? Why should I break? Things like that. And those are the things that I think we forget every day of our life because of our worldly duties. I have to work, I have to cook, I have to clean... All of this, instead of really focusing on what we should focus on first, and that's our purpose every morning.

So if there's a message today, it is once again waste no time. Let's roll on finding out who you truly are in life. And I think everything else kind of falls in place.

Preach on, Ray! It's great to see you in the Yard.

What will be your biggest challenge for tomorrow's game in Buffalo?

Lets go Buffalo!!!! hey hey hey hey.

Ray thanx for the message. It helps even tho you dont know it. Like listening to disney music, like a song called i've got nerve... without realizing it it makes you atronger as a person. I know this form experience hahaha... .That's why i always read your blog. (also because you are just an outstanding player). Good luck tomorrow. Destroy rhose Bills!

Much Love, Megan

gosh i mean it makes you STRONGER.... And that you need to destroy THOSE Bills lol..... i am not good at typing on a computer that's not mine hahah!

Amen, Ray. It's amazing how wise you are, probably because you've gone through a lot more than people your age have. You are living proof that what does not kill you, makes you stronger and makes you better. I think through all this, you've learned a lot more about life than many other people your age and even much older. I think it's great that your sharing this stuff with us.You never fail to motivate me and to make me better. When things start going south in whatever I'm doing, I think of everything you've gone through and what you've done after you've gone through it to get me by. Thanks Ray. And as always, can't wait till your next blog. I hear your a game-time decision tomorrow and I hope your good enough to go and dominate the Bills. Good luck man.

Now try waking up in the morning with only a few dollars in your checking account and ask yourself those same questions. That's when you really get a sense of reality and why we surround ourselves with certain people in life. Then try to press on and stay away from the negative influences when you feel that your simply running out of time in your life at becoming succesful. That takes even more faith and fortitude to do the right thing.

is this ray lewis or benny hinn?

Ray, several years ago you gave a pre or half time speech to the team. My mind fails me as to which one it was and even what year. Back then not many fans heard it, I thought I would share it with our friends here at YardBarker, if you don't mind. I have kept this because frankly, it touched me and still rings true today. Peace my brother-Tim

"The road to success is not straight, there's a corner called failure. A loop called confusion, a speed bump called friends. There are red-lights called enemies, caution lights called family and you have flats called jobs. But if you have a spared called determination, an engine called perseverance, insurance called faith and a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called success. " Ray Lewis to his teammates.

thanks for posting that Tim.

I agree. Life is very precious and we should all do something meaningful to enjoy it while we are able and help others along the way. Don't sweat the small stuff. It is just so not worth your time and energy. Enjoy your loved ones and life while you are able. And thank God for the priveleges He blesses us with!

I was at the Bills game yesterday. I've kind of had this knot in my stomach ever since. It was my first time seeing you play live. Although from Buffalo, I decided to deal with the threats of bodily harm and represent the Ravens by wearing my 52 Jersey. I'm happy for the Bills. They put forth a good effort and were able to capitalize or Baltimore injuries and other areas where they fell short. I didn't realize how personally invested I had become until I saw you in person. It's one thing to see you on a television screen or read your words on an internet site. It's a completely different thing to be 20 feet from you and not be able to connect. Your words in, "Brotherhood is found thru our struggles" was ever so poignant yesterday as it is to me now. My struggles are not so much about the game as they are about coming to terms with the realities of my life. Today, we focus on Pittsburg, and the feelings about the loss to Buffalo will pass. The connections we seek, the disappointments we face, they linger longer and like you said, we have to focus on what our purpose should be and who we truly are. I crossed a line Ray. I won't say what that line is, but I took off across it and now I have to bring myself back. Thank you for your words. Enjoy your Bye week. I think it will be a good time to regroup.

Hey Ray, please don't use the word "war" again when refering to the game that you get paid millions of dollars to play. And PLAY is the main word there.

And again how much do you make per year?

Does it matter how much he gets paid? Football is a war between two teams. Is it is fault that people are willing to pay for his services?
Keep it up Ray, we are 4-3, not 0-7. We are what, .5 or 1 game behind the Steelers? Season isnt over fans, if you jump off the wagon, please dont hop back on. You are not a true fan.
