First of all I do not see a repeat of last year, not even close. The Eagles are coming in to the "09 season a healthier team for starters, we have added key players, and all the guys from last year have one more year under their belt as an eagle.
The Eagles have added some key players to their roster this year, by signing Asante Samuels, Chris Clemons, DeSean Jackson, and Lorenzo Booker. With the addition of Samuels that should definatly help our interception starved secondary out alot. As well as make them want to shine a little bit more. By adding Chris Clemmons we add speed on the line, He can definatly get to the QB, and if not make them throw the ball faster then they wanted to, therfore causing a bad pass, and its just a matter of who in the secondary wants to catch it!!! I don't think alot of people understand the significance of Clemmons.
With the signing of DeSean Jackson we have immediatly addressed the return game. No ifs ands or buts that this guy will come right in as a rookie and begin returning, as long as he can hold on to the rock! Now as a WR that is to be seen, the guy is fast, real fast! If he does come in as a WR he may not see a whole lot of passes, but he definatly will be a distraction to other secondaries, Now if he is open deep expect to see a long pass. When we signed Lorenzo Booker alot of people did not understand that this was big! He's young, fast and is capable of making big plays as well! This also gives B-west time to relax here and there and not take a beating all of the time. Now this also gives a the ability to run split backs. With that option alone we could set up dual screen plays , or designed trick plays around these two. The list is really endless as far as the scenerios go with those two!
So on offense just think about westbrook and booker in the back, with curtis, jackson, and brown lined up, that is alot of speed and playmakers on the field at one time, which will scare the crap out of defenses. " WHICH WAY DID HE GO GEORGE, WHICH WAY DID HE GO???? On top of everything i have said lets not forget that our man McNabb is coming in healthy, and so is L.J.!! I see us going at least 12-4 final predidction!!! Lets hear your feed back good or bad!!!
