AFC North team still highly interested in Broncos wide receiver

Teams can't stop kicking the Jerry Jeudy tires. The Browns are the latest team pestering Denver about a potential trade.

"The Browns haven't slammed the door shut on trying to trade for Jeudy despite the lack of a first-round pick this season," wrote Cleveland.com reporter Mary Kay Cabot.

According to Cabot, Denver will only trade the 23-year-old wideout if they receive a blockbuster package, ideally including a first-round pick. The Broncos are desperate for selections because they have no first- or second-rounder in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-1 wideout is one of the Broncos' few trade pieces since he set career-highs in receptions (67) and receiving yards (972), which led the Broncos in both categories.

Although Denver covets a first-rounder, they realize other trade partners feel that's the wrong price for Jeudy because he hasn't made a Pro Bowl and has never played an entire season.

The Dallas Morning News' David Moore reported that the Cowboys called about Jeudy, however, they decided to trade for Brandin Cooks instead, only giving away fifth- and sixth-rounders.

As a result, Denver is starting to bend on price. The Broncos are willing to listen to offers centered around a second-round pick and a player, per Benjamin Allbright of KOA-FM in Denver.

The Browns have the No. 42 overall pick, which isn't a high pick, but it's better than waiting until the third round.

Yet, Denver must ensure that Cleveland does not "fleece" them because they might regret trading a promising player who breaks out elsewhere and receiving minimal returns.

It would not be a good move for the Broncos.
