We're only a few months in, but 2021 is shaping up to be quite a year for Baker Mayfield. First, he helps lead the Cleveland Browns to their first playoff win in nearly three decades and, last night, he claimed to have crossed paths with extraterrestrials.
"Almost 100%, Em and I just saw a UFO drop straight out of the sky on our way home from dinner..." Mayfield wrote on Twitter. "We stopped and looked at each other and asked if either of us saw it..."
Now, to be fair, Mayfield may not technically be claiming to have spotted aliens, as he only says that he and his wife Emily saw an unidentified flying object. And while the term UFO is commonly accepted as a way to describe an alien spaceship, the "very bright ball of light going straight down out of the sky towards Lake Travis" he spotted could have been any number of things.

If Mayfield does believe he saw proof of life on other planets, he's certainly not alone in that belief. In 2019 alone, nearly 6,000 people in North America reported alien sightings.
Whether Mayfield saw aliens or not, we can all take some comfort in knowing the truth is out there.
