Brian Callahan shares future plans for former Titans first round pick Peter Skoronski
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

New Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan put one offseason debate to rest on Tuesday at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Callahan told reporters that Titans offensive lineman Peter Skoronski, the No. 11 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, is best suited to play guard.

"You always cross train guys," said Callahan. "But I do think Peter's best position is at guard. But you always -- until you get your hands on the player and they're in the building, there's always a cross training element where guys will swing at different spots. But I do think his best position at this point is probably guard."

The Titans dealt with poor tackle play in 2023. And there's been some thought that Skoronski could move to tackle and help remedy that situation for the Titans.

Skoronski started 33 games at left tackle for Northwestern. He was named a unanimous All-American in 2022 and first-team All-Big 10 in 2021 and 2022.

Callahan, however, sees Skoronski as a guard, which rules out a potential scenario where the Titans move Skoronski to one of the tackle positions and draft/sign a guard.
