Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles: 'I know exactly when' Tom Brady is coming back

Despite the emergence of a wacky theory involving "The Masked Singer" television show, all that's really publicly known regarding quarterback Tom Brady taking an alleged 10-day break away from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is that he's expected back at some point after Saturday's preseason game at the Tennessee Titans. It's also known that head coach Todd Bowles and general manager Jason Licht have assured everyone that Brady's absence was preplanned and cleared by the team.

Bowles offered somewhat of an update on the situation while speaking with reporters ahead of the weekend.

"I know exactly when Tom is coming back, and I’ve consistently said it would be sometime after the Titans game," Bowles explained, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. As has been the case, though, Bowles didn't announce a firm date for when the seven-time Super Bowl champion signal-caller will return to the practice field.

"I’m not worried, so I don’t know why anyone else would be worried," Bowles added during his comments.

Bowles raised eyebrows when he said Thursday that "we just worry about our practice with Tennessee" and that "Tom’s not involved with the coaches. We practice on our own."

Linebacker Devin White sparked some concern last week when he said that "we’re praying for whatever (Brady) got going on as a human being," but multiple outlets have since reported that the 45-year-old's August sabbatical is not directly related to his health or the health of any close family members.

It seems all everyone can do at the moment is wait and see if Brady emerges from his hiatus on Sunday after the Buccaneers are through with the Titans.
