Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling has one simple rule for the Super Bowl media

Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been in the NFL for five seasons now after being drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He made a name for himself catching longballs from Aaron Rodgers and when he became a free agent, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs to play catch with Patrick Mahomes.

Valdes-Scantling is a known NFL commodity. No, he's not Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson or Davante Adams, but he's a pretty darn good football player.

With all that said, it's a bit surprising that the media at the Super Bowl, of all places, may have trouble saying his name. The wideout apparently fears that will be the case, though, because he had one simple rule when talking to the media.

Super Bowl media row is known for getting rowdy and reporters from not just all over the country, but all over the world, are expected to descend upon Glendale, Arizona for Super Bowl LVII. Some are serious sports reporters who clearly know Valdes-Scantling and how to say his name.

Others...well, they're there for the kicks and giggles.

Valdes-Scantling caught 42 passes for 687 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season. He's stepped up huge for the Chiefs in the playoffs with seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns across Kansas City's two playoff games.

For reference, Valdes-Scantling's name is pronounce "mar-QUEZ" and not "mar-KEZ."
