Tim Tebow has never played tight end before, and Indianapolis Colts TE Mo Alie-Cox has some advice for the former quarterback.
Cox told TMZ Sports that it'll be simple for Tebow to be successful at tight end if he's open to learning new things.
"The tight end position, you have to learn how to block," Alie-Cox said. "You have to catch passes. The protection — the little things like that. So, it's a lot that goes into it. It's a lot of mental."
However, Alie-Cox is convinced Tebow will be fine despite never playing the position and being out of the NFL for a long time.
"He hasn't played the position, but I mean, he's a hard worker," he said. "You can't put anything past Tim Tebow."
According to TMZ Sports, reports out of Jaguars minicamp indicate that Tebow is transitioning well. So, he has a real chance to make the roster.
Tebow hasn't played in the NFL since 2015 and has spent the past six years working as a broadcaster on the SEC Network and working on his professional baseball career, which ultimately failed.
Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence is also convinced Tebow will do just fine, saying, "No one is going to work harder than him."
The 33-year-old is on a one-year, $920,000 deal. So if it doesn't work out, then it's not a big deal.
