The Cleveland Browns' first preseason game is just a couple days away, but head coach Kevin Stefanski is remaining mum on how the quarterback situation will shake out for the contest.
Offseason trade acquisition Deshaun Watson is still facing at least a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy following over 20 allegations of sexual misconduct, including allegations of assault, stemming from visits with dozens of massage therapists. However, the NFL is appealing the suspension, and even without the appeal, the ruling doesn't include preseason contests.
#Browns Kevin Stefanski has a plan for Deshaun Watson and the QBs vs #Jaguars Friday night but hasn’t told them yet and won’t tell us. Won’t say if Watson will play

#Browns Kevin Stefanski said they'll wait to announce the plan at quarterback for the preseason game Friday. Deshaun Watson will make the trip to Jacksonville.

For what it's worth, Stefanski added Tuesday: "I'm really comfortable with what (Jacoby Brissett's) done to date with reps."
Last week, the third-year head coach said that the team has "got to get" both Watson and Brissett ready to play, signaling that both signal-callers could see time under center on Friday.
The Browns' preseason opener is slated for 7 p.m. Friday on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
