Five NFL Draft prospects that make Eagles repeat Super Bowl favorites

Entering the 2025 NFL Draft, it's hard to pinpoint a position of need for the Philadelphia Eagles. Fresh off a championship season in which they boasted the No. 1 defense and averaged the seventh-most points per game, Philly has one of the most balanced rosters in the league.

Still, with eight picks in the upcoming draft at their disposal, the Eagles could add even more firepower to their arsenal on Draft Day.

Let's take a look at five projected first-round prospects that would make the Eagles instant favorites to repeat as Super Bowl champions

WR Luther Burden III, Missouri

With Pro Bowl receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith occupying the outside, the Eagles could add another dynamic option in the slot by selecting Missouri star Luther Burden III.

A former five-star recruit in 2022, Burden is an electric receiver who excels in the open space. Despite his numbers dipping from his superb 2023 season, Burden ranks as one of the top wide receivers in this class and could be among the first to hear his name called on Draft Day.

"Burden is a quick, athletic slot receiver," per NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah. "He received a lot of quick hitters in Missouri’s offense. He excels on underneath option routes that allow him to combine his feel to create space and his suddenness to generate yards after the catch. He has outstanding body control, giving him the ability to contort and haul in poorly thrown balls. He is at his best with the ball in his hands."

DT Walter Nolen, Ole Miss

Ole Miss star Walter Nolen may not fall to Philly at No. 32, given his enticing blend of power and athleticism, but would be a slam dunk selection for the reigning Super Bowl champs if he does.

Philly loves building in the trenches, especially early in the draft, and could continue that trend by adding Nolen, whom they expressed pre-draft interest in

Coming out of high school, Nolen was the No. 1 overall recruit nationally and continued to be a disruptive force at Ole Miss.

His numbers don't leap off the page, but that's due mainly to the attention and double teams he attracts from opposing offenses.

By pairing him with All-Pro defensive tackle Jalen Carter, Philly could free the Ole Miss standout to wreak havoc on the interior of their defensive line.

LB Mykel Williams, Georgia

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has developed a penchant for selecting Georgia Bulldogs and could add another in Mykel Williams in the 2025 NFL Draft.

"Williams is a talented edge rusher with rare physical traits," Jeremiah explained. "Unfortunately, he suffered an injury in the opening game against Clemson and played through pain for the remainder of the season. When healthy, he has a dynamic get-off and can win early from the edge or when he’s reduced inside. Overall, the 2024 tape isn’t a fair representation of Williams’ talent. He has game-changing tools when healthy and locked in."

With Nakobe Dean expected to miss the bulk of the 2025 season after suffering a torn patellar tendon in his left knee during a wild-card playoff game against the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles could turn to fellow Georgia alumnus Williams to fill the void.

LB Jihaad Campbell, Alabama

As noted above, Eagles standout linebacker Dean will miss time next season, and the Eagles don't have a ton of depth behind him and Zack Baun.

With that said, they could target Alabama star Jihaad Campbell at No. 32.

Jeremiah linked Campbell to Philly in his final mock draft, noting Philly's affinity for SEC players.

“The rules are simple with the Eagles: They take the best Alabama or Georgia player who falls into their lap," Jeremiah wrote. "Campbell is my No. 12 player in the draft, so he would be a tremendous value at the end of Round 1. If not for the shoulder surgery he’s recovering from, he'd be a lock to go much higher.”

DE Donovan Ezeiruaku, Boston College

After losing Josh Sweat in free agency and Brandon Graham to retirement, the Eagles could use some fresh blood at defensive end, and Donovan Ezeiruaku fits the bill.

Ezeiruaku notched 16.5 sacks in 2024, landing him firmly on the first-round radar. He may not fall to No. 32, but would be a great fit in Philly if he does.
