Former WR Brandon Marshall calls for respect on Bengals' name

The Bills and Chiefs are the AFC favorites to be in the Super Bowl this year. But where are the Bengals who just represented the AFC a season ago?

Former WR Brandon Marshall believes the disrespect must come to an end. "Let’s stop talking about it and start putting some respect on their name," Marshall said on Sirius XM radio. "They are the scariest team in football."

Cincinnati not only has a real shot at the top seed in the AFC, but has all of the pieces to make it back to the Super Bowl where they lost by just three points 10 months ago.

"Why do we talk about the Cincinnati Bengals like the Cincinnati Bengals wasn’t in the Super Bowl last year?" Marshall asked. "They have to defend that. They have to respond to that. This team is like that."

Bengals' QB Joe Burrow is playing at an MVP-type level and out-dueled the MVP favorite, QB Patrick Mahomes, in Week 13.

Peter Schrager weighed in on the heavyweight battle on "Good Morning Football." "Every big third down, every big moment, there was no better person throwing the football," Schrager said. "I think the Bengals might have the best quarterback in football going into next week."

Burrow gets an opportunity for revenge in Week 14 when Cincinnati hosts the 5-7 Browns whom they lost to 32-13 in Week 8.

If the Bengals can win round two, they're one step closer to their ultimate goal of getting another shot at a Lombardi trophy.
