Perhaps one of the best stories on the Cleveland Browns this season is Isaac Rochell.

For over a month now, Rochell has been enjoying his time in Cleveland with the opportunity he has gotten. He went from making Cleveland’s roster, getting cut, then signed to the practice squad, and then getting elevated to the Browns’ week one matchup against the Panthers.

But, that was not it. After that, he went back to the practice squad, and he has now been signed to the 53-man roster for Cleveland.

An Opportunity is All Isaac Rochell Needed

Per cleveland.com, Rochell said that all he wants to do is to “ride the wave.” He just wants to get better every day.

“It has been crazy. It’s definitely a first for me in my career, but you just ride the wave. You get better every day. The goal doesn’t change. I knew when I came back here I would have the opportunity to play at some point. So it was kind of just keep getting better and not overthink things that I can’t control.”

A thing that Rochell emphasized while talking to cleveland.com was getting an opportunity. He said that even being placed on the practice squad was an opportunity for him.

“Even when I was put on practice squad, that was still an opportunity. So it’s like everything is an opportunity and you just kind approach it the same way. I think a lot of guys, not all guys, but a lot of guys, make the mistake of overthinking situations, or looking at one situation as an opportunity while one’s not. It’s kind of all the same and that’s how I approach it.”

If Rochell really wants to get an opportunity, he may be getting one soon. The Browns are having a lot of issues with injuries at their defensive end position, so he could slide into a spot where he’ll get much more playing time.
