Wide receiver rookie Romeo Doubs has had his moments in training camp and preseason. Untill now he hasn’t had that in game success many knew he was capable of. Then in the third game of the season Doubs chance to ball out came and he didn’t disappoint.

During training camp practices we started hearing the praise for the rookie. Aaron Rodgers was one of his main supporters as he said great things about the receiver. Some of the praise was about his amazing catches. His work ethic also was being noticed. Then during the preseason he looked like a starting receiver every time his number was called.

Romeo Doubs opportunity

The Packers played the Buccaneers this week and as the game got closer we started getting the injury list. Packers top receivers Christian Watson and Sammy Watkins both were ruled out. So other receivers on the depth chart would get more playing time.

Against a top defense

Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t fully got their offense running on all cylinders yet, but their defense on the other hand has been one of the best in the league. Most thought this would be a low scoring defensive game and it was. Meanwhile the rookie was making the most of his opportunity even though it was against a great defense.

Doubs game stats

Doubs was targeted eight times and he pulled in all eight for catches. While also picking up 73 yards and scoring his first touchdown in the NFL season. He balled out on a great defense so I’m sure he has earned Aaron Rodgers trust as a target.

This young man is super talented and keeps making the most of every opportunity he gets. The Packers would be foolish not to keep this man on the field as much as possible. As this season plays out I’m sure we will be talking about him more.
