At the risk of ticking off an entire city (Baltimore), Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the NFL’s most dazzling superstar right now.
Lamar Jackson is on his way to nearing Mahomes’ level and was the biggest running highlight reel the NFL has seen in a long time this past regular season.
However, one of the things we do to measure the greatness of quarterbacks in the NFL is look at their postseason play. When it comes to Mahomes, it simply stuns the senses to realize what he’s accomplished on the big stage at the tender age of 24.
In his first two seasons as a starter, Mahomes has gone 3-1, the only loss being the overtime defeat at the hands of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots last year. A win/loss record is a team stat, however.
Here’s how Mahomes has fared personally in those four games:
Folks, those are legendary postseason stats, especially when considering how inexperienced Mahomes still is.
So, he plays his best when the pressure bears down the most.
Looking at the way Mahomes handles himself in big games, especially when the Chiefs fall into a big hole, it’s not hard to see why. The young man has freaking liquid hydrogen running through his veins when the game is on the line.
In fact, he doesn’t even seem to feel the pressure.

Leadership. It’s not in short supply for the Chiefs.
Quite aside from this young superstar’s ability to lead men and play his best games when the stakes are the highest, Mahomes possesses otherworldly physical skills that enthrall the masses.
Here’s a small sample of Mahomes’ jaw-dropping play-making ability:

Mahomes has arm talent like Dan Marino did. He can also make huge plays on the ground.
THAT. WAS. INCREDIBLE.

And who can forget about this absolutely bonkers jump-pass touchdown from earlier this season?
Mahomes is a certifiable freak of nature. Every time you think you’ve seen something truly supreme, he finds a way to raise the bar.
Mahomes has it all. He’s a leader. He’s clean off the field. He’s photogenic. He regularly makes jaw-dropping plays. He’s leading the Chiefs into Miami, taking the organization to heights it hasn’t seen in 50 years.
He’s the biggest star in the NFL right now. And he’s the biggest reason the Chiefs have any chance at all to win it all.
