Steelers’ Patrick Queen Used To Hate Jaylen Warren, But Now He’s Eager To Play With Him: 'Personally, We Hated Him'

"Mr. [Jaylen] Warren. He’s a hell of a running back. Strong, kind of short to the ground, low center of gravity. I definitely hated playing against him. Personally, we hated him, but at the end of the day, it’s all love. I do respect his game and I do respect him as a person. I honestly can’t wait to play with somebody who plays like him.”

Queen highlighted Jaylen Warren, the gritty and hard-hitting undrafted free agent running back, as the individual he personally harbored animosity towards. However, he clarified that this sentiment was devoid of any personal vendetta, expressing eagerness to collaborate and aid each other's improvement.

During the interaction with a media representative, Queen was asked if he was excited for the linebackers versus running backs drills at training camp.

“Yeah, I definitely am. We got to get it understood before hand, I need his head up and not launching it into my chest. It’s going to be fun. We are going to get each other better. I can’t wait.”

With a lighthearted demeanor, Queen persisted in jesting about his past rivalry with Warren, showcasing his enthusiasm for his new journey in Pittsburgh. Eager to dive into the grind, he expressed readiness to contribute to the team.
