Micah Parsons is one of the most interesting personalities to come through Penn State in recent memory.

The NFL superstar seems to always find his name in the headlines, whether that be asking to play different positions like kick returner or running back, or becoming friendly with players from the Dallas Cowboys’ biggest rival the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now again, for at least the second time this offseason, Parsons has found his name on NFL headlines, this time for a very interesting video circulating the internet.

While in Tokyo Japan this offseason with Texans’ quarterback CJ Stroud, Micah Parsons found himself wrestling a Sumo Wrestler 1 v 1.

Parsons, a high school wrestler and huge Penn State Wrestling fan, holds his own in two bouts against a Tokyo Sumo wrestler, showing his versatile athleticism that has made him one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

Micah Parsons’ Contract Saga Continues

Outside of his trip to Japan this offseason, the big news surrounding Parsons has been whether the Dallas Cowboys will extend his contract this offseason, or whether Parsons will play out his fourth season on his rookie deal without an extension. According to Heavy Sports’ Matt Lombardo, Parsons’ extension, along with Cowboy’s wide receiver Ceedee Lamb’s extension, seem to be “organizational priorities,” but that doesn’t mean a deal gets done before next season. “[Parsons]’s not getting an extension this year,” one prominent agent told Lombardo. “Micah probably has to play out this year on his current deal.” A second agent suggested to Lombardo that the Cowboys would place the franchise tag on Parsons “before even opening conversations about a long-term deal.” Even though Parsons may like to play on a new contract with an extension, he may be waiting longer than expected to put pen to paper for one.
