After trying to resurrect his career, David Aebischer is unsuccessful with the Phoenix Coyotes as they waived him yesterday.
If he clears waivers, he can report to the San Antonio Rampage where there are two goaltenders on the roster in Josh Tordjman and David LeNeveu.
Aebischer was a victim of the other netminders playing exceptionally well, and not getting support from the Coyotes offensively, and a very rough preseason.
The game that Aebischer saw action was against a team he had success against - the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was unbeaten against them, but lost the last encounter 3-0.
Now that the Coyotes know the goalies that will play for them, they need to support both of them with consistent scoring and intensity for 60 minutes.
