Mike Ribeiro cheap shots Osgood

Ribeiro's slash was in retaliation for Osgood hitting him in the face with the butt end of his stick when he skated by. Doesn't make it right but you shouldn't put Ribeiro in the McSorley/Bertuzzi class just yet.

Bad move by Ribeiro, but it was in retaliation for a cheap shot by Osgood just seconds earlier. Nonetheless, you don't take a two handed swing at anyone without consequences...

What bothered me was Osgood's interview after the game where he said he never tried to butt end Ribiero. Tell the truth and shame the devil, I hit him, he hit me, I dove to try to get him suspended so we can win it in 4.

Same here. If you didn't watch the whole incident unfold, then you have no room for criticism. If someone would have hit me in the face with the end of their stick like that, then I would do the same thing. If you suspend one, then you have to suspend both.

What Osgood did to Ribiero was MUCH more dangerous then the baby slash onto Osgood's THICK chest protector from Ribiero. Yeah, suspend both or neither.

Both got fined, so that pretty much tells anyone what the deal was.
