Game 4

In Cleveland...getting ready to go to bed...thought I would drop yall a few lines. I haven't done much today. We had practice and a film session earlier today, and after that I went to Hard Rock Cafe and ate. They have the best spinach dip! After eating, I spent some time with my cousins. They came up here from Louisville to see the games, so I chilled with them a little bit.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. My mom is in Boston. I set up a little surprise for her and my girl for Mother's Day. It was nice, and they really liked it. I wanted them to do something special even though I wasn't there. O...and my daughter is finally crawling. We're all excited about that.

I'm about to lay it down now. I have to bring it tomorrow, so I need to get some rest. Keep cheering for us, and hopefully we will get this W tomorrow. I'll holla!

O..one last thing. I was reading a lot of the comments that were posted about the Marvin Williams foul, and I just wanted to let everyone know that Marvin and I are coo. He didn't mean to hurt me, and there are no hard feelings. Marvin is my homie, and I'm doing fine..my back is ok. Thanks for being concerned though!

Back in the A

We just made it back to Atlanta, and I just got finished getting settled in my room. I don't really plan on doing anything tonight but resting. I think I'm going to grab something to eat and watch film for the rest of the night. We had practice earlier today in Boston. After practice, we got on the plane to come down here, so now I'm pretty tired.

I'm soo glad last nights game went well for us, and we got the W. Overall, as a team, we played better. We attacked, played good D, were intense, played together...pretty much everything we needed to do. We knew that we needed to win last night, so we had to do whatever it took to get the W.

Overall, the playoffs are pretty interesting right now. Every night teams are going out there and bringing their best game. A lot of people thought that we would sweep our series, but Atlanta didn't back down. They have been playing us tough and competing at a very high level. Like the NBA commercials say, " You either bring it or you go home." Right now, it looks as if no one wants to go home. All the match ups have been really interesting, especially the Detroit and Philadelphia one. Fans would have expected Detroit to sweep Philadelphia like they expected us to sweep Atlanta; however, Philadelphia has been playing Detroit tough. They are a real athletic team like Atlanta, and they are playing well right now. This is the NBA "where amazing happens," so we will see how these playoff games go. I will be checking back in soon...I'll holla!

Catching Up

It's been a while since I've been to the yard, but I'm back now and barkin' like never before. I kinda shut down the last month of the regular season...that's why I haven't posted on here. I didn't hang out, go to movies, nothing. I wanted to make sure that I stayed focus, ate well, rested, and stayed healthy. I knew that I had to be ready for the playoffs, but now that I have played in two playoff games, I have a good feel for it and I wanted to catch up with you guys.

My family was up here about three weeks ago. Some of my cousins came up along with my old high school coach from Eastern. They came up to catch a few of my games. I always like spending time with my family because I don't get to see them or talk to them much. It was nice to just chill around the house and laugh and joke around. Whenever we get together, it's always fun because we just laugh and talk about the past-things we did back in the day.

As far as the playoffs go, I live for big games. I love the atmosphere...fans at The Garden are the best fans ever. They bring soo much energy, and I just feed off of it. I'm glad we are 2-0 right now in our series, and I'm just trying to stay focused on the goal-the championship. It was crazy because the first day that the playoffs started for us, I was in the urgent care center with my daughter. She was sick, and being the dedicated father that I am, I went to the urgent care center with her to make sure she was ok. She's fine now, and I'm glad about that. Also while he was here, me and my homie, Josh Smith, got to hang out. Even though we play for opposing teams, and it is the playoffs, we still are coo. He came over my house Tuesday, and we just hung out all day. It was nice to catch up with him.

I went to practice this morning...watched some film. Now, I'm about to lay down for a minute. I'm going over Ray's later. We're having dinner over his house. Overall, the team is better than ever right now. UBUNTU is in full effect, and our chemistry is crazy! My job now is to just stay focused, play team ball, and win this thing. I'll be back to the yard soon...I'll holla!

Texas

I haven't been to the yard in a while...thought I would drop yall a few lines to let yall know what's been going on. I moved into a new spot recently. I have much more space now. My last place was straight, but it was kind of small. I moved in about a week and a half ago, and I was able to get everything straight before I left for my road trip.

Last night's game against the Bucks was good. I'm glad we got the first W. Getting the first win makes the road trip go a lot better. Our two new guys, Sam and PJ, did good. They're learning the system and catching on quickly, and our team chemistry is good- that makes things go a lot smoother.

We're in San Antonio right now. I'm just got my hair cut. I didn't do much today. I worked out this morning, and I've just been resting since then. Now that we're closing in on the regular season it's important for me to rest as much as I can. After 50+ games, your body gets fatigued, so I try to stay off my feet as much as possible. I have to make sure I take care of my body so that I will be ready for the playoffs! We have the Spurs tomorrow...getting prepared for that game. I have a good match up tomorrow. I think I'm about to get some food, watch some film, and lay it down for tonight. I will be checking in soon, but for now..I'll holla!

Getting Prepared

Just got up from my pre-game nap...thought I would drop yall a few lines. I'm feeling pretty good today. Everything is fine. A lot of people have been asking if my head is okay, and it is. I'm glad we got that W against Detroit the other day. That was a big one for us. We played great as a team...my boy Perk got up that game with 20 rebounds. The collaborative effort as a team really sparked a flame for us during that game.

Yesterday, I had a couple of things to do. I went and worked out in the morning. Then I had some signings to do. They were pretty coo. I went to Capital Grille last night with my family. My mom is in town, so I wanted to take her. I love that place. It's right up there with Ruth's Chris.

Right now, I'm just playing my music...getting ready to pack for our short road trip and get dressed. I like to listen to my music while I'm getting into my game mode. We have Chicago tonight...gotta get ready. I'll holla!

Bounced Back

After losing three consecutive games on our West Coast trip, we bounced back and have won five in a row. You all know I didn't get what I wanted for my bday, but the five in a row made up for it. In the game against the Bobcats, I had a career high 16 assists. I was pretty excited about that. As a team, we're working hard-playing team ball.

Over the past weekend I've had some family and friends in town. They came up from Louisville to visit. It was nice to see everyone. We went to the mall and dinner while they were here, and they got to catch a few games. I like to be around family, so having everyone up here was coo.

I'm up early today. It's gonna be a busy one for me. I have a couple of things to do this morning, and this afternoon I have a little party to go to. I work with this program that helps less fortunate kids in Boston, and today I'm having a little party for them. I love the kids, and I'm really excited about tonight.

We have Detroit Wednesday. That is going to be a good match up. I know all the fans are looking forward to that game. Detroit is tough, so we're going to have to be ready. I will just be preparing for the game over the next few days. I'll be back to let you know how things go. I'll holla!

22 Years Old

I'm 22, on the 22nd. Yes, today (Friday) is my birthday. I know I haven't posted an article in a while, but the past few weeks have been mad. In the weeks before All-Star weekend, we had two back to backs and a few road trips. We worked hard during those games and finished 41-9 before the break.

The morning after the Knicks game (Valentine's Day), I flew down to New Orleans. All-Star was crazy busy for me. The sophomores got that W though! Besides playing in the rookie/sophomore game, I had appearances, things to do for the NBA, media, etc that all had to be done. I did get to go to the dunk contest and the All-Star game which was coo. I got to see some of my homies down there too. It was more business in New Orleans than pleasure. I didn't really have time to just hang out with my family and relax because I had soo much going on, but it was coo. I did get to catch the Kentucky vs LSU game while I was down there. I went down to the game with a couple of my friends. It was nice to see some of my old teammates. Plus, they got the W, so that was good.

I left New Orleans Sunday night after the All-Star game and flew to Denver. The Denver and the Golden State games were tough. In both games, we went out there and played hard, but came up a little short. We are going to get back though. KG is back and getting back into his rhythm, so things should be turning around.

We play Phoenix tonight. I'm actually about to get dressed now. I haven't done anything for my birthday, so winning tonight would be the best bday gift. Hopefully, we will pull it off.

I'm about to start getting into my zone, so I'll holla!

I'm Focused, Man

I made the All-Star sophomore team, and I'm looking forward to going down to New Orleans. Some of my family members are going down to watch me play in the game. I will mostly be relaxing and enjoying myself the whole weekend. I have some events to go to, and I have to go see my homie Rudy in the dunk contest. He's going up against my old teammate G. Green. That's going to be a good contest. I may go to see Kentucky play while I'm down there-not sure yet. I have to check and make sure I don't have anything already set up first. Other than getting prepared for the trip to New Orleans, I'm just doing my regular...resting and preparing for our upcoming games.

Last Thursday's game against Dallas was great. I'm glad we came off that one with a W. I went to the Mayor's Cup Breakfast at Fenway Park this past Saturday. It was a really nice charity event. This past weekend was actually really great for me. I got to get some good rest, and I needed that.

As for the Super Bowl, I don't think that there was one person in all of New England that wasn't just gravely hurt. That had to be the hardest loss for the Pats-going 18-0 all season and losing the only game in the Super Bowl. I wouldn't know what to do. I have much respect for those guys though. They had an amazing season at 18-1. I got together with a few of my teammates and watched the game. It was fun watching the game with them. We laughed and joked around up until the last few minutes of the game-that's when it got serious.

Now, we're in Cleveland. We play the Cavaliers tomorrow. I'm about to lay it down for the night. I'll holla!

Feeling Good

Last night was great! It's been a long month for us...we've lost five games in the month of January alone. That's more than November's and December's losses put together. Last night though was amazing. We played as a team, had great defense, ran the floor, got points off of fast breaks...pretty much everything. This was much needed after that hard loss to Orlando. I thought that we played great the entire game...that last second shot just hurt me. In the last second of the game, all I can remember when the ball was released is my mouth dropping and me saying "Nooooo." It seemed like it was happening in slow motion. Fortunately for us, we bounced right back and got the W against Miami.

While we were in Miami, I got a chance to get some rest. It was beautiful down there. I went yachting with some of my teammates. That was a wonderful experience. I never really liked boats before going on the yacht. I got to eat at some good restaurants while I was down there too. I love to eat. My teammates always mess with me about how much I eat-they say I'm greedy. I just look at it as I have a big appetite.

Now I'm home. Just chillin. I may go out to eat later...maybe catch a movie too. We play Dallas tomorrow, so I have some film to watch in order to get myself prepared. I may go in and get some treatment later too. My hamstring and back are good, but I still like to get treatment on them...just to make sure I stay healthy. Thanks to everyone for the get well wishes. I appreciate it. Be back to the yard soon...I'll holla!

I'm back

I was out with a lower back and hamstring injury for the past few games. I came back Monday when we played NY. I felt pretty good that game. My back and my hamstring were good. I was a little sore after though. If you don't remember, I pulled my hamstring when we were on the West Coast against Utah. I played on it for a while, then it started to get aggravated. Then when we played New Jersey, I fell and messed my back up. I didn't want to sit out at all, but it ended up being the best thing because my body got a chance to heal.

Earlier today I had practice...that went good. After practice, I had two interviews. One of them was for ABC and the other was for the NY Times. I think I did well in both of them. I haven't really been doing much. I have a lot of off the court things coming up...a few appearances. Thursday, I have an appearance to do for Reebok. I think E.House and Gabe Pruitt are going to be there also.

I just got finished watching the Kentucky vs Tennessee game. I'm glad my boys pulled that W off. I always watch the KY games when I can. Right now, I'm just chillin...about to go to sleep in a minute. I have to stay rested. Game day tomorrow. We play Toronto...so I'm going to watch a little film and be out. I'll holla!

Day to Day

As many of you all know, I pulled my hamstring in the Utah game while we were on the West Coast. It's doing ok now, but some days it still hurts a little. I've been getting treatment on it every day..sometimes twice a day. It's getting better, so I've been able to play.

We just came off of a W against Detroit...I'm soo glad about that. It was a good game, Big Baby did his thing that game. We had early practice this morning...I went hard in it. I gotta get back off this lil injury. We play the Bobcats tomorrow..that's gonna be a good game.

My agent is in town. I'm about to go have dinner with him...see what's up with everything. Of course we are going to my spot, Ruth's Chris. I actually tried another steak house the other day...Abe&Louie's. It was good, but I'm still a Ruth's Chris fan. I will be touching base soon...but for now...I'll holla!

West Coast

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas..I had a nice one. I had to leave on Christmas day for the West Coast, so I didn't get to spend that much time with my family. The plane ride to Sac was long, but I occupied my time by watching movies and playing cards. I lost money on this trip, so I didn't play as much as I would have liked to. Before the game in Sac yesterday, I had lunch with my agent and I got a hair cut. E.House hooked me up with this dude that cuts his hair, so I was able to get a fresh cut. The game against Sac was interesting. I took some hard falls, and KG got hit a lot, but we pulled it out and got another W.

It isn't as warm as I thought it was going to be. We came to Seattle last night. I had to go to the mall a few minutes ago to get me some thermals...I need a coat actually. I thought it was going to be a lot warmer than it is. I checked the weather for Utah, and it's like 20 degrees there. I don't need to get sick, so I'm making sure that I stay wrapped up...gotta stay healthy. I'm about to go get a massage, so that I can get loose for the game. Hopefully we can get another W tonight. I will be checking in soon...I'll holla!

Number Nine

The #9 is a good number...it's my number of course, and it's the # consecutive wins we had before our last loss to Detroit. The Detroit game was a good game, and like the other two games we lost, we should have won. But, we competed well and came back at the end, but we still have some things to work on. Today we have Chicago...I'm actually about to get ready for that game. I like to get to the gym early.

It has been snowing like crazy in Boston. Last week we got a really bad snow storm, and the team was trapped at the practice facility for like 7 hrs. The snow was everywhere, and people were stuck in traffic for like 4 hrs. It took this one guy I know 3 hrs just to go 9 miles! We all just stayed at the practice facility so we wouldn't have to try to fight traffic...and of course played cards, shot pool, shot jumpers pretty much the whole time. It was actually fun. It snowed again yesterday. It wasn't as bad as last week, but I had a charity event to go to, and it was canceled. I was looking forward to going to the charity event actually, but I'm getting it rescheduled so not all was lost.

I had a photo shoot yesterday for DIME magazine right after practice. It went good. I like photo shoots...the camera loves me..haha. Naw...but it was hot for real...so look for the magazine to be coming out soon.

We will be leaving for our West Coast swing soon....that's going to be really nice cuz the weather out there should be a lot better than it is in Boston. But I will be back to the yard soon, so for now...I'll holla!

XMAS TIME

Over the past few days, I've really started to get into the Christmas spirit. Sunday, after we got back from Chicago, I went Christmas shopping with my family. The mall was packed! It's always funny because whenever I go to the mall, someone will ask me if I play for the Celtics, and I will play around with them for a min and tell them that I don't...but eventually I tell them that I do, and they don't believe me, so they always look a little confused because they don't know what to think. Anyway, I went to the Natick Mall Sunday. That's the mall I always go to whenever I'm home. They seem to have every store that I like in that mall. I got some good shoes when I went...I have a crazy jean collection and I've been needing some shoes to go with them, so I racked up on a lot of Vans, Ed Hardys, Ferragamos, etc...just some lil casual shoes that I can wear. I never intend to buy anything when I go to the mall with my family, but I can't pass up some things. After the mall, we went to eat, and then went back home and chilled.

Yesterday, I had an appearance at 7am...I was a lil tired, but I woke up once things got started. It was really nice. I always like doing things for the kids. After the appearance, I went to practice. Practice was good..went hard as usual. After practice, we had a team meeting. After that I came home and went to sleep cuz I was tired. After I woke up, I went to another appearance. It was at a sports store...and I just had to sign a few autographs. After that, I came home and watched I Love New York 2...that show cracks me up...then I watched CSI:Miami...I'm a fan of that show too. I tend to watch a lot of reality shows. Tonight I plan on watching Keisha Cole's reality show...yeah I'm a reality show junkie. As far as today, I just went to practice. I have an appearance to do in a min...but after that I'm just going to chill. Tomorrow we play Sac, so I will just be getting ready for that.

I'll holla!

MIA

As most of you already know, we played Miami this past Friday. It was so nice down there. We had NY the day before. We left for Miami right after the NY game, and we got to Miami crazy late. I rested all morning before the game, and I did my usual routine when I got up...got dressed, went to the team meeting, then left for the game. I felt like the game went well for us. I'm glad we got that W. After the game, I should have went to bed, but it was soo nice there I had to go out to eat. We didn't leave to come back to Boston right after the game, so a few of us went to eat. Then we just went back to the hotel and chilled. The next morning we left to come back to Boston, and it was freezing when I stepped off that plane. It was wild because I had just left 80 degree weather and came back to 29 degree weather. The rest of the day Saturday I slept. I knew that I had to get my rest for today. We had an early game against Cleveland. The Garden was kind of quiet today...I guess because it was an early game. But, it was still a good W for us. I'm feeling pretty good about things. It's still early, and we still have a long way to go. But, I really enjoy my teammates so the rest of the season should go well. I'm about to lay it down for tonight. I'll holla!
