This is actually from awhile ago, but of course now we know its going to happen so this video, just like that, becomes relevant again. I'm still rooting for Shamrock via heel hook or kneebar, that would be priceless. Some IFL fighters(or should I say former IFL fighters) also weigh in on the match-up.

Brett Rogers Camp: As for Oct 4th; that was our spot. Shamrock with his name and giant ego butted in line to get a slice of Kevin. At 103 years of age Ken usurped our rightful place against the YouTube champ. Our sincerest hope is that Ken whips Kimbo and then we can finally euthanize the "World's Most Dangerous Man" and relegate him to some MMA dinosaur exhibit. Maybe taxidermy him and Severn and place them on a rotating pedestal where they can endless circle each other.

Slice v. Shamrock set for October 4

CBS will announce today that the main event for its October 4th EliteXC card will feature Kimbo Slice battling 44-year-old UFC legend Ken Shamrock. Slice is MMA's biggest draw, despite a lack of experience, and Shamrock is one of the sport's biggest names. Shamrock, though, hasn't won in his last five fights.

The matchup is sure to draw ratings for CBS and a victory for Slice over Shamrock, though a shell of what he once was, would be considered a big step for Kimbo.

Slice/Shamrock booked, Dana White on MindFreak, Rampage officially charged

Amidst questions that they might be in financial trouble after having to recently cancel an event, EliteXC wasted no time in putting their best effort (last resort?) out there in signing Kimbo Slice to fight Ken Shamrock for their next CBS event in October. Seem like a weird mix? Yeah, me too. But with their next CBS event coming up in October and likely the deal-breaker for whether this is going to work, I don't blame them at all. Shamrock is one of the most well-known MMA fighters of all-time, even if he's over the hill in major fighter terms. Slice is still an unknown oddity that has a chance to continue his grasp on the mainstream with a win. From a casual fan's perspective, this is a great match. From a fight fan's perspective, you're not going to get a whole lot out of this. Elite is doing the right thing in protecting Slice, but eventually they are going to have to test him. If this October fight doesn't work, there will be a lot fewer people watching when he does. -UFC Prez Dana White will be on Criss Angel's Mindfreak this Wednesday at 10 pm EST on A&E. I wonder there are some people in the fight community that wish Angel would make White disappear forever. -The sad Rampage Jackson story is starting to get more clarity as he's been charged with two felonies and four misdemeanors thanks to his little fun run in July. However, he was not charged with causing the miscarriage of a woman whose car he sideswiped along the way. If convicted, he could get up to three years in prison. No matter what, UFC is still standing behind him and he's expected to fight this year. That will be an interesting crowd reaction.

EliteXC Vice President, Jared Shaw, has confirmed today that Ken Shamrock will be Kimbo Slice's next opponent in EXC's October 4th return to CBS. This bout is exactly what EXC required as it is a weaker opponent for Kimbo as Shamrock has lost his last 5 bouts and 7 of his last 8. However, Shamrock does have a marquee name that will draw much-needed viewers to CBS. One interesting note is that Ken Shamrock's adoptive brother Frank Shamrock does colour commentary for CBS. The two do not speak to each other and there have been rumours that the two will fight in the coming years. What will the always colourful Frank say about Ken during the telecast? Ken Shamrock (Pictures) will be the fourth man to face Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson (Pictures) when the two icons clash at EliteXC's third installment of "Saturday Night Fights" Oct. 4 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla. The headlining bout will anchor a live broadcast on CBS.

Sherdog.com confirmed the bout's signing with multiple parties aware of the fight, while a press release is expected to circulate later today with the news.

The 44-year-old Shamrock (26-13-2) beat out fellow candidates Sean Gannon and Brett Rogers (Pictures), who called out Slice in May, for the coveted slot.

Shamrock has lost his last 5 fights, but he's still a huge name for hardcore and mainstream fans alike. I'll be watching and rooting for "The World's Most Dangerous Man", who will most likely be a heavy underdog. I've got 2 words for Kimbo "Heel Hook"!!

Kimbo Slice next fights on October 4th. and he finally has an opponent. Slice will face none other than UFC and MMA legend, Ken Shamrock. The fight will likely serve as the main event of the show and CBS will no doubt be hoping for a ratings splash by adding Shamrock to their card.

EliteXC superstar Kimbo Slice will face MMA legend Ken Shamrock on October 4. Shamrock has lost much of his power and speed, but he remains a submission specialist who can end a fight simply by grabbing hold of a limb. Slice will need to be cautious and pick Shamrock apart on his feet.
