Video from Dontrelle's last start. The delivery still looks very much Dontrelle like, but maybe with a dimmer switch so it isn't as intense

Junkballing: Zach Miner, Tiger Stadium, and injured shortstops

Zach Miner starts again
The question of the 5th starter has been answered - for now. Zach Miner will take the spot formerly occupied by Eddie Bonine and before him Dontrelle Willis. Miner had some struggles with control out of the pen this year. But in two "stretch-out" starts for Toledo he has posted [...]SHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "Junkballing: Zach Miner, Tiger Stadium, and injured shortstops", url: "http://www.detroittigersweblog.com/2008/07/junkballing-zach-miner-tiger-stadium-and-injured-shortstops/" });

Tigers Willis Giving Up Trademark Leg Lift Delivery

Tigers LH pitcher Dontrelle Willis told reporters over the weekend that he is trying to revamp his pitching delivery. He is working with coaches on it but did not go into detail on what those changes might be. As detailed here last week, he's been plagued with knee issues, has an ERA over 10.00 and has been sent to Lakeland to rehab. An MRI on his knee showed there was no structural damage but some tendinitis. Time will tell whether he can return to his old form with a new delivery.

The Worst Team Money Can Buy

As we approach the mid-point of the 2008 season, much has been made of the success of small market teams like the Rays and Marlins. Heck, even the Pirates have scraped their way towards mediocrity. Here is the worst team money can buy, and no, it's not the Mets roster...
