Binghamton 1, Akron 2It was a good old fashioned pitchers duel today, between Akron's James Deters and Co, and Binghamton's Bobby Parnell and Co, with Akron coming out on top, 2-1. Parnell had a rough first, giving up 4 hits and a run (being saved from more by Mike Carp throwing out a runner at the plate). Parnell lasted 5.2 innings, allowing just that run, on 8 hits, lowering his ERA under 4. Edgar Alfonzo allowed a run in the 7th, to pick up the loss. The Mets had only 8 hits and a run, themselves.
