Manny Leads the Sox to Victory Again

For the second straight night Manny Ramirez has provided the winning hit in the 8th inning, tonight it was a 2-run homer. Lester did not have his best stuff and had some control problems; he gave up 5 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. The Sox trailed by 3 runs in the 8th but rallied back scoring 4 and giving Papelbon a one run lead for the top of the 9th. He picked up the save and the Sox now have a 2-game win streak and Manny has broken out of the slump. Boston plays a day game tomorrow but Manny should be in there as DH. more...
