Robert Griffith Retires As a Minnesota VikingToday, former Viking safety Robert Griffith signed a one-day contract with the Minnesota Vikings for the express purpose of retiring as a member of the team. Griffith came to Minnesota as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State in 1994. He played in Minnesota until 2001, and for a pretty solid majority of that time he was the only solid DB on the Minnesota roster. (Kenny Wright? Robert Tate? Wasswa Serwanga?)
