Robert Griffith Retires As a Minnesota Viking



Today, former Viking safety Robert Griffith signed a one-day contract with the Minnesota Vikings for the express purpose of retiring as a member of the team.

Griffith came to Minnesota as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State in 1994.  He played in Minnesota until 2001, and for a pretty solid majority of that time he was the only solid DB on the Minnesota roster.  (Kenny Wright?  Robert Tate?  Wasswa Serwanga?)  His coverage skills might not have been the greatest, but the man was a damn good run support safety. more...
