Should The Mets Sell The Farm?

If the last two games of this series have proved anything, its that the Mets are very short on outfield depth. Fernando Tatis, Marlon Anderson, and Trot Nixon are all good role players, but have no business starting on a consistent basis. As far as Andy Phillips goes; well, I'm sure he's good at something. After Carlos Beltran in the Mets batting order, who exactly strikes fear in pitcher's hearts? At the trading deadline this year, Omar Minaya needs to acquire a big bat for this lineup. This is an easy statement to make, but a much more difficult question to answer is how many prospects should be available to be dealt, and should Omar Minaya, "sell the farm," in order to acquire a potent bat? more...
