The Giants chose to fill needs in the secondary in the first day of the draft, and with the selection of Terrell Thomas from USC, they found a physical lock-down corner who was one of the few overlooked players for the Trojans.

The knock on Thomas is that he is a frequent visitor to the infirmary, as he has sustained knee and shoulder injures that have sidelined him for stretches of games. In high school, he had a 9.3 ypc average as a running back while also doubling as a corner.
