The Best Plays of 2007 Brackety-ish Thing: selection and seeding

Before we kick off the Best Plays of 2007 Brackety Thing, we need to narrow the field to 16 and seed the plays. I've already whittled the number of plays down to 23, and I'm taking suggestions for which seven are going to be left complaining for a year because they didn't make the tournament.
