Barcelona Edges PSG for £75M Liverpool Sensation to Replace Ousmane Dembelé

In recent weeks, there have been rumors linking Paris Saint-Germain with Liverpool‘s standout player, Luis Díaz. While there are conflicting reports regarding the seriousness of PSG’s interest, there’s a new development in the rumor mill.

FC Barcelona is the other team in the running to possibly land the Colombian. The 27-year-old is under contract until 2027, but the Reds want to lock him up to a new agreement, considering the amount of interest he’s currently receiving. 

Despite being under contract for three more years, SPORT reports that Díaz is interested in joining Barcelona, but Liverpool won’t make it easy. 

According to the Spanish media outlet, Xavi Hernandez wants to regain intimidation up top after failing to keep Ousmane Dembelé, and the Colombian is among the players he likes most in the market.

The information from SPORT to say that Xavi wants the player is odd, considering he’s leaving the club unless the Spanish tactician intends to change his mind. Nonetheless, Barcelona as a club might want Díaz regardless of whether Xavi stays or not.
