It’s been a few weeks since Paris Saint-Germain’s come-from-behind 4-1 second-leg victory over FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. However, one agent is calling out the Catalan side for not using his client when the team needed goals.

Barcelona went up 1-0 in the second leg and 4-2 on aggregate, but after the red card to Ronald Araújo, the scoring floodgates opened for the capital club. PSG scored once in the first half and then three times in the second half to record four unanswered goals in the match.

With the Spanish giants trailing in the second half, Vitor Roque’s agent, Andre Cury, took a shot at Barcelona and manager Xavi Hernandez for not using the Brazilian forward in crucial moments.

“Everyone saw that against PSG, Barça needed a goal, and they could’ve benefited by having another No. 9,” Cury said. “In many games, they needed fresh legs up to press… but if Xavi doesn’t see it that way, then patience, but we cannot continue like this.”

Barcelona’s end to the 2023-24 season hasn’t been the best as they’ve lost to Real Madrid and their recent loss to Girona handed the La Liga title to Los Blancos. It will be a trophyless campaign, with Xavi remaining as the manager despite stating his intention to leave.
