Giuntoli: Juventus will fully support Fagioli

Juventus chief Cristiano Giuntoli says Nicolo Fagioli will receive the club's full support during his suspension.

The midfielder is banned for seven months for placing bets on games.

"We confirm what we had already expressed a few weeks ago: we will support Nicol Fagioli in his journey, therapeutic and formative, and want to provide him with all the assistance he needs over the next few months," explained director of sport Giuntoli.

The contract extension is going in that direction, but that is not all. Nicol is a very important player for us, his technical qualities and tactical intelligence are known to all, and we are convinced that his return to the field will be a primary added value to the team.

So Fagioli needs to know, and he does know, that he can continue working, training every day with the squad, and feel calm. He knows we are counting on him and waiting for him."
