Granada announce Fernandez returning to Man Utd

Granada have announced Manchester United have recalled Alvaro Fernandez from his loan.

The wing-back is now expected to join Benfica on-loan for the remainder of the season.

Granada announced today: "The Granada Football Club has received notification from Manchester United , which has decided to break the loan period that linked the footballer lvaro Carreras to Granada until June 30.

"Thus, therefore, his stage in the Nasrid team ends."

The left-back has made 13 appearance for the LaLiga side, including five starts.
